As everyone talked about the taste of Krakoan rum, Claire knew she had to taste some. She hadn't been back to Earth for very long time and really wanted to speed run through everything that would remind her what being back home was like. So she rushed over with a mug and had some rum. She was disappointed in the fact that she didn't get the tingle that everyone else did and immediately fixed herself another drink. "Well, that's no fun!" she said with a bit of disappointment before she used her telekinesis to grab a bag of chips from one of the crates.
She also got a bit more of the rum because she loved how it tasted.
But as she began to snack, Claire had a sudden feeling come over her and it wasn't a very positive one, and then she started to look off in the distance. She didn't really know what it was, but she knew that this wasn't the tingle everyone else was talking about. "I really hope that this isn't the sign of something bad," she said to herself, really wishing she had access to her Phoenix powers to find out what it was she was picking up on.

"And that brings us to you," Ein said to Rose as they stood close enough to hear everything going on with Sydney, Piper, and all of the Excalibur stuff, but far enough away that they weren't instantly sucked into that conversation. He was connected to magic, but it was never his main thing, so he wasn't really invested in the conversation about the future of Excalibur like some of the others were. "Where do you think you should end up?"
Ein wasn't sure where he would go or where he should go, either. X-Force's task would be most suited to him and past experience, but that wasn't really something he wanted to do again. He'd spent all of his time even away from the X-Men chasing down Weapon Plus cells and anyone that wanted to copy and replace them, so maybe this time, he could do something different.

Questions and conversations on where she was going to end up didn't matter to Julia. She'd been working as a spy for months now for Xavier and the other leaders, quietly helping gather intelligence and influencing the world in ways that will help Krakoa in the future, so there was no reason to see herself going anywhere but the new X-Force. But instead of thinking about all of that, she decided to enjoy herself, kicking off her shoes, grabbing some of the Krakoan drinks and enjoying herself like many of the others were as they gathered around the firepit.
"If only David's big ass head was here to see this, he'd love it," she said, thinking about her brother and whatever mission he was on. She knew that he'd find out what they were building here soon enough, and would drop whatever it was that he was doing to make his way here.

Following the end of Marcela's explanation, Dante remained silent, and D just sighed and rubbed his temples. "Even after spending all of that damn time with the Guardians, this cosmic stuff makes my damn head hurt." At the same time, D's Flerken climbed from out of his jacket pocket and scurried up to the top of his head, where it liked to rest, and stared directly at Althena while meowing.
"You ever going to name your space cat?" D ignored her right as Dante started to speak.
"Okay, maybe that makes a bit of sense," Dante replied as he ran his head through his hair, "Time loops. With this arm, I've done more than my fair share."
"So you gonna stop moping around like a depressed dork instead of being happy you're back home with your friends? Well, most of your friends?" Marcela couldn't help but make a moment of awkward silence. "Good." She smiled and snatched the Flerken from off of D's head and began to walk away.
"Are you going to stop that?"
"You'll find out when you follow me." She then lead D and Dante over toward Hayley and the others were, and immediately handed D's pet off to Piper. "Here, you hold this.
"You're just giving away pets?"
"It's not the worst thing I've done, and Althena herself has done worse!" Marcela shouted as she walked right over to Hayley and placed her hand on her shoulder. "Hey there, Marcela Ruiz-Coleman, but you can call me Althena if you like. If you won't join Excalibur for yourself, join it for the blue haired woman who vaguely looks like the blue haired woman you may have called a friend not too long ago. I'll be forcing myself on the team, too, obviously. If only part time if nothing else."

“I am sure he will be here tonight.. We have a few hours before the son drops..” Conor said
as he walked over and grabbed a beer from one of the crates..
“I wish Bobby was here to frost this up a bit..” He chuckled as he popped open the beer and
took a swig as Angelica also grabbed a beer..
“I hope you do not mind if I crash your gathering. I had some quick business before I could join everyone. And I saw Conor who I had to
come over and say hello to a friend that I had not seen in ages!” Warren said as both Dragonfly and Angel gave one another a quick hug.
This does feel like an X-Force reunion.”
“Everyone from your time in X-Force are all here gathered together. We even have Dragonfly and Hollywood! Logan and Cable both went with the students to
explore the island I am sure. So it’s just us.”

“Yes Conor I am going to be a part of the team. It is so good to meet you and Angelica. I am going to go with Psylocke and grab some stuff for us and
we can talk later.” Yuna responded to Dragonfly and Firestar as she rushed off with Kwannon.
“I surprised myself. I just joined X-Force when Dragonfly asked. I did not even think about it, I just agreed.” Yuna said to Psylocke as they walked over to
some crates. Yuna pulled a knife that she had hidden on her. She used her mutant power the same power as the Silver Samurai, her uncle. The blade of her
knife started to glow as she cut through all the crates around her.
“The others are going to love this!” Psylocke said as she used her telekinesis to lift the crate and
a few others and carry it over to the others..
“We have chips and a few other things to snack on!” Psylocke declared as she returned with Yuna..
forward to hanging out with her. She knows a lot more about my life than I do hers. Honestly I really do not know anyone on my fathers side of the family that well.”
Yuna said as she looked disappointed by that fact. “That is something that needs to change. For now I want to hang out with what will be my X-Force team. So who is
staying and joining the team?” Yuna asked as she began to dig into a bag of chips. |

“Your right Mon Chere JJ! This is a celebration. We should have some bubbly!” Fantomex quickly waved his hands back and forth like he was doing
a magic trick and suddenly two champagne glasses appeared in his hands.
“I am sorry my friends, you will have to get your own glasses!” Fantomex said to the rest of his X-Force team mates while JJ poured the champagne
into the glasses.
"Oh, everybody is gonna be jealous," JJ giggled as Fantomex poured her some Champagne. "Seriously, you are one in a million, and I can't wait to see where this part of the adventure leads us!"
As JJ watched the bonfire, she couldn't help but think back to her days in Louisiana as a kid and how much she loved seeing some of the old mansions in the Garden District. "Hey, I never got to ask you this, and I always meant to. You've been all over the world. I mean, all over the universe too, right? Where is your favorite place to hang your hat, so to speak? If you could live anywhere, where would it be? There was this one old house back home that I would love to have lived in as a kid. It looked like something out of a novel. Pale pink with big white shutters. Wrought iron fencing, huge balcony on the second floor. Cypress and redbud trees in the yard. The historical trust bought it, and there went my dream house," JJ added with a chuckle. "I mean, you could live anywhere. In addition to here, I mean. Where would it be?"
“Have you been to The Alps? I have a home hidden within the mountain range. It’s very secluded and quiet which I like. The snow and the mountains are so peaceful
that I spend hours just sitting on my porch with hot cocoa looking out at the landscape. That is my favorite place on this planet. So JJ what is your favorite place to be
on this planet?” Fantomex asked just as Archangel landed right in front of him next to Dazzler.
“It’s always good to see you alive and not evil. I had a better time fighting with you and not against you.” Fantomex responded to Archangel’s sudden appearance.

No, it didn't have a name yet. But holding it made sense in a weird way.
"Mummy, can I pet the space kitty?" Shona asked as she reached up toward the flerken.
"Let me ask the nice flerken if you can pet them," Piper said as she gently stroked the creature and smiled at it. "Since you do not have a name yet, my friend, I will just have to ask you as politely as I can. Can I hold you? And can my daughter gently pet your back?"
"And now she is talking to the flerken," Sydney said as she shook her head. "And expecting answers."
"D, I do not want to upset your friend here," Piper said as she cradled the flerken, "and while Marcela asked me to hold your companion, well, I am not as versed in flerkens as I am in kneazles or standard cats. Does it understand English? And does it respond vocally or through actions?"
"The Flerken Whisperer," Sydney said as she watched Piper with D's furry friend.

If truth be told, Hayley had never thought Althena gave her much consideration in the past. Then again, Hayley was usually knee-deep in some nonsense with her family, and that had a way of skewing her judgment much of the time. It also kept her, except for the briefest of times, from looking beyond the four walls of her own existence. At least that's how it seemed to her.
The thought of being on a team with Kari and Dana, let alone Sydney, made Hayley rethink everything in all its over-analyzed glory. What could go wrong? What could destroy the world as they knew it by them all being together? What new debt or duty could be foisted on her to make Kari's life better?

"Sorry," Hayley finally said quietly to Marcela. "Sydney jokes about the voices inside my head. At the moment it's only one voice, and she just gave me a kick in the pants."
"The Goddess Danu. She talks. A lot," Sydney added as she looked at Marcela and Hayley. "And I usually hear it because of this stupid spell. Thank heaven she took pity on me for the moment."
"Of course, if I am needed, I will answer the call, for all my friends," Hayley said as she smiled at Marcela. "How much do you remember about all of us being together exactly? Every deity seems to play by different rules, and I don't want to ascribe anything to your situation that isn't correct."
"She wants to know if you remember 'Fun Hayley and Adrian' or 'Gloomy Hayley and Adrian,' Marcela?" Sydney said as she seemed to be Hayley's translator at the moment. "She just won't utter the words."
"No, that is not exactly it," Hayley huffed. "I don't want to babble on about things that make no difference at the moment. Just like you didn't want me messing around and scaring Dante with my nonsense."

One of those places you can connect with yourself or with the divine, if you are so inspired, I mean."
JJ looked up and nodded to Warren as he landed. "Hey, Warren," she said and then thought a bit about Fantomex's question. "If I could live anywhere, well, it's easy to tick off the places I'd avoid. Not a fan of Cali all that much except San Francisco. To actually narrow it down? Hmmm. If I couldn't get that house in the Garden District, there is a lot of beautiful property out on the bayous in Louisiana. Most of the houses need a lot of work, though. And I know, gators and big bugs. Not for the faint of heart. That's why I'd rather be in the Garden District."

Angelica stood beside her husband and felt pretty lost.. It had been a while since she was a part
of the X-Men in any shape at all.. Conor was always doing secret missions for the Professor..
Magneto or Cable.. Firestar tried to find her way back to the New Warriors a few times and that
always came to an end.. The team never felt as good as it did when they first came together.. She
tried to go back to college and forget being Firestar.. That did not last too long either as she found
herself joining another team called the Young Allies for a bit.. In the end she had rejoined The Avengers
not on the main team but as an Agent of the team.. She and a few others would go on missions that
the main team was too busy to take care of.. Sometimes it was alone or she would drag Iceman with
her.. Now she found herself back in the fold with her husband back from his secret missions..
“Conor will be back with X-Force as this is what he does best.. I respect X-Force but it’s not the type of
team that fits me.. I might join a team but I am going to take my time and see what my options are..
I am still keeping up with my work with The Avengers for the time being..” Angelica answered Yuna as
she saw both Northstar and Kyle.. She had become very close with them when she was on the X-Men
team with Jean-Paul..
“Kyle!.. Jean-Paul!” Angelica called out as she hurried over to both of them and gave them both a hug..
“It’s so good to see you both again.. I have missed you both so much!” Firestar then turned to Milo and
gave him a friendly smile and held out her hand.. “You must be Milo.. I am Angelica Jones also known as
Firestar..” She introduced herself.

“I am not planning on being on the X-Force team this time around.. I plan on being on the main
X-Men team.. I have much love for X-Force and the new direction and how important this team is
going to be.. I just feel like I need something different for myself..” Kwannon said as Yuna looked
sad hearing her answer..
“You are going to do great with X-Force.. I am excited for you.” Psylocke said in support of her friend..
Psylocke looked over and saw Psionica and the sudden look of surprise on her face..
“Claire you okay?” Kwannon said as she made her way over to her..

“A few people are missing for it to be an X-Force reunion.. It is nice to see some old faces again..
The Professor and Mags have been keeping me busy with operations that have kept me away from
home.. Charles and Erik have said I will be back home and will be helping build this new X-Force
team for Krakoa..” Conor said to everyone around him.. He looked over and gave his wife Angelica
a smile as she found her way over to Northstar who was a friend of hers.. Northstar was also on the
X-Men team when she was and created a bond.. Dragonfly then turned and looked over at Archangel..
“I would love to see you on the team but I am sure your X-Corp activities will keep you busy..” Conor
said as he saw Beast and Moira walking over to join them..

“Did I hear a conversation on X-Force?. I do have some announcements to make about X-Force
for everyone involved or wants to be involved.. Both Quentin and Everly have agreed to be a part
of the team.. We are still open for new members so come talk to me or other members of the team..
The big news is that Cable talked to me when we first arrived here and decided that he had other
responsibilities he had to take care of before he joined the team.. So besides Logan and I.. Cable
asked for Dragonfly to take his place in the command position.. I hope you agree, Conor?” Henry
said as Conor nodded in agreement and looked surprised..
