“I’m sorry mother but that is not going to happen.. I am doing something that you and the X-Men
can not do! If you have the power of a God why not use it? Apocalypse and I are two different sides
of the same coin and I have accepted that.. Mother I have evolved into a being that can change this
world and it hurts me that you and the X-Men are trying to stop me from doing so.. I can feel how
much this world means to you and how badly you want to save it.. I have an idea that will honor your
wish and do what I am trying to accomplish.. I will leave this world alone and create my own!” Nate
said as the sun-sphere exploded as he created a new pocket universe.. His energy covered the earth
as he tried to take every mutant on the planet with him.. Saber’s spell was not completely finished but
enough of the spell was in the ether that it stopped X-Man from taking everyone..

The energy wave from the sun-sphere exploding knocked Saber to the ground just as he
was about to complete the spell.. When he hit the ground he saw his wife Betsy disappear
into the light as well as Nightcrawler and a few others.. He was too late but he saw the
sigils he was able to finish glowing on the ground.. The energy was so intense that he
blacked out..
Slowly Saber began to wake up to the feeling of a light rain against his skin.. He then
sat up and opened his eyes.. The first thing he noticed was that Nate Grey’s temple was
gone and so was the town.. Some of the X-Men were left behind and spread apart across the
field..

Scott began to wake up to the sound of Kid Cable gently shaking him and calling out to him..
He also felt a soft rain coming down..
“Dad, wake up!. You need to wake up! Dad, wake up now!”
“What happened?!” Cyclops sat up and brushed the rain from his visor and looked around..
He noticed the temple and town was gone.. Most of all the link he had with Jean was gone..
“Jean?” He spouted out as he tried to stay calm..

“She is not here, she vanished when that sphere exploded! A lot of us disappeared into the light
that came from it.. Only a few of the X-Men like us remained for some reason.. Rachel is also gone
and it is hard to see who was left behind because of all these vines!” Young Nathan explained as
best as he could to his dad who was still dazed by what had happened..

“Mom, wake up!” Hope called out to Karenza as she found her through the field of vines. Kari
opened her eyes to see Hope on her knees on the ground looking down on her.. She was using
her hand to shield the rain from her mothers face..
“It was Nate Grey! He tried to take us into a pocket dimension that he created but Saber kept
him from taking us all! I felt it as it was happening.. I almost went through and I saw Citian
disappear into the light!”

It was the loud boom sound of thunder that woke Gambit up and made him leap up to his feet
with his battle staff ready.. He was very confused as the last thing he remembered was fighting
a couple of Hounds.. Off in the distance he saw Kid Cable helping Cyclops to his feet.. He could
hear Logan calling out for Cair..
“ROGUE!!?” He began to call out for his wife who was missing from his site.. Even though he was
confused he began moving through the vines looking for her..

Daken quickly got up on his feet when awakened.. He heard his father calling out for Cair and
Gambit calling out for Rogue.. The vines were so tall that it was hard to see anything.. Akihiro
caught the scent of Aurora despite the strong smell of precipitation and started to track the scent
until he found her lying face down on the ground. Akihiro quickly scooped her up in his arms and
started to walk in the direction of his fathers voice.

Kwannon stood up and took a minute to enjoy the soft rain against her skin before returning to
the current situation that they were facing.. Psylocke could hear both Logan and Gambit calling
out for their wives.. Kwannon closed her eyes and tried to sense who was still around.. She felt
Mirage.. Karma.. Chamber.. Hope and Karenza.. Psylocke began to push further and felt Strong Guy..
Banshee.. Havok.. Marrow.. Deadpool.. Copycat.. Sage.. And a few others like Mystique.. Jamie Madrox..
Vulcan.. Domino.. Rogue and a few others that were still unconscious.. Kwannon began moving through
the vines to get to Cyclops..

Rainmaker found herself under a vine. She looked around but everything seemed hazy but as her mind cleared she saw some of the various X-Men but her link with her parents and sister were gone. She couldn't feel them.
She used her superhuman strength to push the vine off of her and floated into the air "Mom?! Dad?! Sis?! Can you hear me?!" She called out again but felt and heard nothing. "No they can't be gone....." She said as a tear started to roll down her cheek.

disappear into the light!” "Hope!" Kari shouted as she held here daughter tightly. "Thank you. From me and your Dad," she said as she placed Hope's hand on the Witchblade. "Nate is so broken, and this just made it worse," were the only words Kari got out before she realized what Hope had said about Citian. "Citian and Bethany...and Thom...missing"
Kari looked around and saw her sister Roz being helped to her feet by Kendra, and other team members were searching for the injured around them. Then she heard Logan calling for Cair. "Oh no. No. No one is going through this again. Hope, do you see Seth? Gabby? Jason?"
"Mom! Hope!" Scarlett shouted as she ran over. "Oh God. I thought I lost you, too. Niamh and Jay vanished! And I don't see Auntie Ryn or Auntie Hayley."
"What happened to Magneto and the other Horsemen who weren't freed?" Kari asked as she lifted into the air to get a better view. "Ororo? Warren?"
Kari looked down toward Saber and knew a lot of unanswered things needed to be addressed, but right now was not the time to start that. She flew down next to him and took a deep breath. "How hard did that hit you? Are you OK?"

"Auntie Roz, I see Karma, so you just let me help you get to your feet," Kendra started to say as Roslea got to her feet and hugged her niece.
"Poppet, you go to your man, and I shall go to my lady," Roz said as she pulled a packet from her pouch. "Contact healing potion. One touch will start the healing process. Not as good as Henry's spray gizmo, I'm sure, but sometimes old school still works. And I am not sure if what Nate Grey did makes technology go all woo woo."
"You, auntie, are a rock star," Kendra said as she ran to Jono. "Babe! are you OK? I am not losing you again!"
Kendra, who was not usually prone to huge displays of fear or grief, started to cry as she held onto Chamber. "Sorry to be all water works right now, but that scared the hell out of me. Did you get hurt? Aunt Roz gave me mystic fixer upper to use as needed."

Rose started to stand up rubbing the back of her head. "There are times I really wish I still carried my flask with me." She grumbled as Dorcha ran over to her. The hatred mystic put her hand on the ground feeling the pull of the earth beneath her but it seemed very different. It was then she felt that some of her family was here and some were not.
"What the feckin hell just happened?"

Desdemona had been knocked on her back and was looking up into the rain as it fell on her face.
"At least I am not dead," she muttered as she rolled over and saw Rose and Dorcha to her side, along with Captain Carter. "I'm glad to see some familiar faces," she said as she got to her feet and made her way over to them. "But I am as disturbed as you are by the ones that are missing. Cass and Curran were fighting near me, and they both vanished when Nate Grey did. And I know some of the family that came for the wedding was here. Grandfather Ronan and Grandmother Kennis. I don't see them. Aunt Dana. I have trouble at times with the family link due to my demonic nature. Can you sense anyone else that I simply can't?"

Rhiannon had been near the main portion of the Scooby Gang before Nate Grey set off whatever he did to wipe out much of the X-Men group. Was wipe out the right word? Make disappear? Teleport them elsewhere? Rhiannon had no damned clue, but she finally got enough sense in her to run to family as she came up behind Captain Carter, Rose, Dorcha and Desdemona. "I wonder how we got lucky enough to avoid being on Nate Grey's select list? Did he leave all the mystics here that do not use the term mutant? Captain, you may one day consider yourself quite lucky for missing out on that lottery."
As she stood there, Rhiannon noticed that all the dragons were seemingly asleep in the field where the Hounds had been fighting. She reached out telepathically to confirm they were not harmed. "The mounts are fine. They may prove useful later. Now to see what became of...wait. Hayley's gone? There goes that theory. She did not shy from the use of mutant terminology. Where ever she is, I just wish Alucard were with her."
"We don't know if he is or isn't," Desdemona huffed as she glared at Rhiannon. "Nate Grey's plan could have swept up half the world for all we know."
