The Shadow King expanding his shadow dimension to Muir island was what Saber was fearing..
Saber remembered the Muir island war with the Shadow King before and how they barely won
that battle.. A lot of that dark energy never left the island.. It just sunk into the ground
and rocks.. Now that the Shadow King was back that energy was revived and Farouk had become
stronger since that time..
Saber also had another personal thought as he fought the shadow spiders.. He had channeled his
Phoenix Sinnergy Force through his katana.. The blade of his katana glowed a bright blue and
easily cut the spiders in ribbons.. His thoughts were of Magik helping Poltergeist create his
very own Soulsword.. Saber decided at that very moment that he would ask Illyana to help him use
his Phoenix shard to create his very own Soulsword..
“I’m okay?!” Saber shouted to his wife as they fought through the horde to join one another..

Revolver.. Shatterstar.. Kylun and Rictor stayed in the area that they were at to hold back the
shadow horde back as Ray.. Gambit.. Jubilee and the others went to aid Armor..
Gallion’s mystic sword shifted into two swords and pushed forward into the horde.. Slashing
Shadow hound.. Sentinels and spiders from all directions..

Rictor’s control of the earth was not stable with the Shadow King having control.. So the only
power he had was the vibro powers which were created from the earth's own energy fields..
He sent a massive wave at the shadow horde and caused major damage to the front of the
horde..
“That worked very well!” Julio spouted out as he prepared a second wave..

“Yes my friend, that worked very well!” Kylun responded to Rictor as he dived into the Horde
that slipped through Rictor’s attack.. He wanted to unleash another sonic scream but he was
exhausted by the ones he already did.. So it was all sword action as he moved forward with
Shatterstar..
“It looks like we are holding the line!”

Gambit ran as fast as he could behind Ray and the others to get to Armor.. When he came over
the hill he was surprised to see all the shadow forms of Ray attacking Hisako who looked exhausted
and was in physical danger..
Remy threw the handful of stones that he had grabbed fully charged at the Shadow Radian’s that was
attacking her causing a massive explosion taking down some of the demonic duplicates.. At the same
time he leaped down the hill and slammed his battle staff into the face of another shadow Ray.. Gambit
then dropped low and used his staff to sweep the legs out from another shadow Ray.. As he got back up
he sent charged cards at the down demonic Ray’s.. Gambit back flipped out of the area as it exploded..
When he landed he went into a battle stance and recessed everything that was around him and was absolutely
shocked to see that the real Ray was facing off with Zanarkan.. An old face that he had hoped to never see again..
Before Gambit could do anything he was surrounded by the soldiers that had transformed into a new demonic form..
They were spider-like and also looked like Ahab’s hounds in black leather spiked body suits..

“Get away from him you renegade goths!” Spouted Jubilee as she sent her fireworks at the
shadow hounds.. Most people underestimate Jubilee’s fireworks as a weaker power but Jubilee’s
fireworks are pyrotechnic plasmoid energy blasts that she can create on a subatomic level which
makes her more powerful than anyone had thought.. After Quentin sacrificed his Phoenix shard to
transform Jubilee from a vampire back to her normal self her mutant powers only increased..
She wiped out most of them as she leaped to Gambit’s side..
“My God is that the real Zanarkan?!.. We need to help Ray!” Jubilee called out to Gambit as she was
just as shaken as he was to see him fighting Ray..

Cable was surprised to see Madelyn and wondered if it was her or a shadow illusion created by
the Shadow King.. He then heard her speak to Persha and knew that it was the real her and that
all of this had created the pathway back into this reality.. She tried to explain a way to defeat the
Shadow King in hopes that Persha would understand what she was trying to say but she did not..
Or it appeared that she did not but Nathan understood..
(Amahl Farouk was a young boy that lived in Cairo.. At a young age his mutant powers were strong
enough to catch the attention of the psychic parasite that we know as The Shadow King.. He prayed
upon the young boy who lived in an abusive family.. So the young boy accepted the Shadow King into
him as the host for the demonic parasite.. This is the only way the Shadow King can use his power in
physical reality.. We need to separate the Shadow King from Amahl Farouk to bring an end to all of this!..}
Cable explained telepathically to all that could hear him, especially his wife Karenza and the other telepaths..

The Goblyn Queen laughed when she heard her son Cable explain what she was trying to get through to Persha..
“That’s right son!.. You will have to separate them from one another.. It will take a lot of telepaths to do that!.. So
good luck on your shadow war!” Madelyn said as she faded away blowing kisses to Cable and Persha as she went..

(We will have to work together.. That means working with Cailleach..) Kwannon responded to
Cable and the rest of the telepathic mutants.. When she was merged with Betsy she had been
on the receiving end of Cailleach in battle in the past and understood how dangerous she was
and did not want to work with her.. Psylocke understood if they were going to pull this off they
needed her..
(We need to go into the mind of Farouk and separate him from the Shadow King.. Amhal is a
victim of this demonic parasite.. We need him to understand this!) Psylocke responded telepathically
as she decapitated a shadow hound with her sword..
(Athena.. Quentin and Cosmos we are going to need your help too!)

Cass heard the psychic call to help take down the Shadow King, but her attention was held by someone else on the battlefield.
{{Why in the name of the Bright Lady am I seeing him?}} Cybernary thought as the shadow versions of Ray all jumped into the battle, but the one that was haunting her was the one with the psimitar. {{He should not be here. Period}}
As she leveled her rifle at some of the demonic shadow hounds, Cass kept seeing visions from her past life in her reality. The Father Askani had been written about in the Books of the Askani just as much as anyone in her family's bloodlines. Ghostly apparition? Menace? Warrior? Everyone had a take on the man, but no one ever said how he came to be or what he was really there for. {{How did that bastard Shadow King know about him?}}
Before she could take aim at another shadow hound, her vision clouded over and she connected with someone on the hover carrier above the battlefield. Merlin's sole passenger on his dragon was her sister Scarlett, and now Scarlett was seeing Father Askani through her eyes.

Scarlett had followed Cass onto the battlefield at Muir, but she had gone a bit sub-rosa doing it by traveling among the shadows. It was all mind tricks, really. She was not one of those magical girls at all. Her mom said she was, but that was a lot of hocus pocus as far as Scarlett was concerned.
But she wanted to get to the carrier and see if she could take a hunk out of Cassandra Nova, the Shadow King or any of the maniacs that might be hiding there who had made everyone's life a nightmare for so long. She just thought everyone would box her in and keep her from getting near "the bad guys" in case she went bad again herself. So she hopped on Merlin's dragon and hitched a ride. Merlin never doubted destiny, or that's what her mom had said anyway.
{{Hey, Grandpa Scott, long time no see}} she said telepathically to Cyclops and the others as she moved in and out of the battle area, inching toward where Jean was fighting. {{Merlin let me tag along when he was smoking those Sentinels, and he dropped me here. I'm gonna help Grandma Jean}}
Scarlett knew she was in over her head as soon as she saw how Cassandra Nova had pinned down Juggernaut and Suprema. She knew Nova would sense her anyway, so the card she pulled from her mental deck said "bravado" on it.
"Here goes nothing," she whispered as as stepped out into the area where all hell was breaking loose. "Yeah, people in our family tend to make return appearances, you bat-faced old crank! Remember me?"
{{I hope Cass is not pissed I borrowed her psi-sword}} Scarlett thought as she started to reinforce the work Jean was doing to keep the ceiling from falling in any further. "Surprise, you old witch!"
But as she went to work, Cass down below connected with Scarlett and showed her what was happening with Ray while also downloading Cybernary's past history with the stories of Father Askani.
{{And now I know why Mel is freaked!}} Scarlett thought as she focused more of her power to help Jean. {{I got this, Grandma, if you want to behead that old loon}}

Jean felt Scarlet enter the damaged bay and began to help her. Jean pulled herself together and hovered in the air close to her granddaughter.
(It’s so good to see you again, Scarlet. You have grown a lot since the last time we saw one another.) A part of Jean wanted to catch up with
Scarlet but this was not the time unfortunately.
(What is very important right now is that everyone gets off of the carrier alive.) Jean said telepathically to everyone except for Juggernaut but
she relied on Sarah to keep Cain informed.
Jean and Nova locked eyes and as if they were in an old fashion western standoff.
(To my left is an escape pod. I need all of you on it before the engine thrusters shut down. Do not worry about me, I will take care of Cassandra.)
As Jean said that Vulcan and Scarlet flew to her side. Jean was a bit worried about both of them. It had been a long time since she had seen Scarlet
and did not know her level of experience against someone like Nova. Vulcan was very unpredictable and crazy and most likely will make things worse.

Dana was able to pull herself together and listen to her mother Jean communicate to her telepathically. She was surprised by Scarlet's sudden
appearance and was still a bit fuzzy on all her family members were. When they survive this her sister Rose and her had to take Scarlet out for
drinks and get to know her.
Suprema grabbed a beam that covered the entrance of the escape pod and moved it out of the way.
“Sarah! Cain!” Dana called out to them and motioned them to the escape pod. She hit the red button and the doors slid open. Suprema watched
for a reaction from Cassandra Nova but Nova kept staring at Jean with a smirk on her face that reminded her of Frieza of Dragonball.
Suprema then carefully headed over to where Storm and Forge were hanging out.
“Forge is the most vulnerable one here so I will shield him as we get to the escape pod.” She said to them.

Back on the island below.
“I got yah Surgah!” Rogue said to Armor as she landed beside her and back handed a shadow Ray in the face and then slugged another while
protecting Hisako who was not doing very well. She wanted to help the real Ray but she knew that Armor was more vulnerable at the moment.
“None of you are as cute as our Ray which makes punching all yah in the face a lot more easier!” Rogue said as she blocked and punched and
took a few hits as she was in a full brawl with a couple of them.
