Kari mumbled under her breath as everyone started to follow Charles and Erik outside--everyone except Piper MacLeod, that is.
"I need to go fix this," Kari said to Nathan and Marcela as she ran off after Piper who had broken away from the group that had been affectionately called The Scooby Gang by many in her family. "Piper! Will you please slow down at least! None of us like running in gowns and heels!"
"No! I am not getting sucked into this nonsense again!" the eldest MacLeod sister yelled as she stopped and stood her ground. "I have children to protect now, and while they might not be mine by birth..."
"I am not going to argue with you, Piper," Kari huffed as they finally stood face to face. "But we should hear out Dante and Marcela and anyone else who might know what is going on. Just please wait until Charles and Erik are finished. Please. And before you say another word, I know. We've heard this sort of thing before. That is the unenviable part of being old as we are. We have always experienced everything at least once. We are never fully trusting of any of it. I hear you."
Kari winced and blinked away the pain before she felt Piper's hand on her arm. "And what is that all about?" Piper asked as Kari tried to shake her off.
"Remnants of my time cocooned in the vault, I guess. Visions of other places. Nothing new, but it still gets a bit overwhelming at times," Kari added as she turned and gave a thumbs up to Nathan and Marcela. "Let's go join the others, Piper, and you can tell me about your kids."

"So JJ I am looking around and I see Loki and I see the Empress of the Shi'ar. I have not seen very much of things off this planet. I was born in an artificial pocket
dimension called the World and that was like something I am not able to explain. Not a good place to be but my question to you is what experiences have you had?
Have you been off world or been to other dimensions?" Fantomex asked as he took another bite of the best turkey he had ever ate in his life. As JJ and Fantomex got up from their seats to follow everyone outside, she had to think for a minute about where she had been with the team. "Until that space casino, I had never been off planet with the team," she said as she took Fantomex's hand. "I did go to this very weird future place with the team. I think it was in another reality, or should I say I hope it was. I like Kari and Nathan loads, but scary old lady Kari with white hair and some freaky lightsaber thing are not exactly anything I want to experience again in this lifetime or the next!"
JJ watched as the crowd went closer to Xavier, and then everyone watched as the portal seemed to grow from the plant. "And what the heck is that all about?" she asked Fantomex as she looked at the portal and shrugged her shoulders. "Have you ever seen one of those before, babe?"

as he walked with him to where the Professor and Magneto stood with the portal gate that had just formed from the plant the Professor was
carrying around him all morning.
Gabriel stood in a way where he was hidden from the site of the new Empress of the Shi'ar. He just did not want to be bothered by any of that stuff.
It was too messy for him to deal with at this moment in his life. |

Jackson held Rachel's hand as they walked with Storm and her his siblings on over to where everyone was gathered.
"It looks like the Professor just grew some sort of portal from a plant. I have to admit I did not see that one coming at all. This is
very interesting development."

"I just want to thank you for joining me on this journey. Maybe together we can talk to Haruhiko to join us. I know that is a long shot but
I felt the same way about you and your here. I think our cousin the Silver Samurai could possibly could do the same."

"When I look around all I can see is how much we already have changed and grown. We have enough X-Men now to have at least five or more teams easily.
We have enough students for at least three or more schools and that is not including all these new refugees." Bishop said to Lazuli as they ate.
"Now we have the Empress of the Shi'ar who is half mutant. So much is changing right before my eyes. None of this was in my history books growing up. But
I did grow up in a mutant camp so I really did not have any access until I was older and the camps were taken down. All of this is very different and it feels wild
to me."

"I think we are going into a all new possibilities of trouble." She laughed.

Like the others, Julia walked over to where Magneto and the Professor were gathered watched in awe like all of the others as the plant was placed into the ground and grew into something that looked like a portal. Though Stenbuck knew more than most since she was running around the planet doing spywork for Xavier, she didn't know everything.
And what was going on with the plants was one of those things that she didn't. "Now that's awesome," she exclaimed with excitement as she got closer to see what was going on without running everyone over. Julia couldn't help but wonder if something she discovered in her missions lead to this.

"Thank you all so much! It truly is the happiest day of my life!" Ewan said as he kissed Jessie once again before more of the family descended upon them. "Once we have a formal plan in place, then..."
"You let your aunties handle all that!" Fachtna said as she waved her hands in the air and made tiny bursts of fireworks appear. "Once you have a date and a place, we will be there to make it happen! Heaven knows Onora won't be getting married any time soon!"
"One of my cousins," Ewan whispered to Jessie. "She avoids family functions like the plague, and she avoids her own mother even more than that. But Aunt Fachtna will win her around again one day, I'm sure. But, if any of this gets too stressful or hectic, please say so, and we will put a stop to it. I promise."
Ewan leaned over and gave Rose a hug. "Thank you. And I'm glad you and Jack found each other again as well."

"Long ago I had a dream that both human and mutants could live together in peace.." The Professor
started out as he stood with Magneto at his side.. Behind them was the new portal gate that grew
from the flower that the Professor had planted in the ground.
"It is why I formed the X-Men.. I wanted the world to see us as heroes like The Avengers.. In many
ways it was successful.. The truth is that it was not successful enough.. We lost sixteen million mutants
when Genosha had fell.. At our own school a bus full of children that were mutants that lost their powers
were all murdered!. Day by day it is becoming more and more dangerous to be a mutant on this planet..
We have nations that have openly kill mutants or experiment on them in labs.. Something has to change
and so Erik and I did just that.. When I came back from the dead I knew I had find a new way.. So I
reconnected with Erik and we brought back an old plan we had and put in motion.. We searched out Krakoa
the living island who is a mutant.. A mutant that used to be an ancient mutant civilization that was once the
home of Apocalypse and mutants like him.. A war had broken out with the ancient mutant fighting off a demon
horde that wanted to conquer our world.. The living island at that time was called Okkara and was split in half
during the battle.. Almost all the mutants and the second half of the island went through the portal as it closed..
Apocalypse's wife closed the portal leaving him behind.. Krakoa was the half that stayed here and Arakko is the
other half that went into the hell dimension of Amenth.. Krakoa was able to feed off of a nation of mutants with
ought hurting them.. The natural psychic energy that mutants give off is able to feed him with no harm at all.. The
reason my X-Men were attacked by Krakoa was because he was sick with starvation.. When the X-Men showed up
it awaken him and he attacked.. Erik and I were able to feed him a lot of energy to awaken him and sustain him for
a time.. I connected to him and saw his story as I was able to tell you.. I showed him our story and we came to an
understanding.. Krakoa wants to be the home of mutant kind.. And I know as I say that everyone goes back to what
had happen to Genosha.. What makes this different?." The Professor paused for a moment as Emma Frost and the rest
of the Hellfire and Monet and Angel of X-Corp walked over and joined him and Magneto..
"Erik and I reached out to Emma and Warren for help which lead to the reconstruction of the Hellfire and X-Corp.. We
met with the United Nation and made Krakoa an official nation of mutant kind.. The island will supply medicine and other
natural products to the world.. Krakoa is a living island that can fight and defend it's self.. It has an echo system that
extends for miles around the island that can be weaponize.. This is will be different than Genosha.. But we do know that
danger will always fallow us.. We will always need mutant teams to defend the island.. We will have the X-Men and a new
X-Force team that will do just that.. We will have Captian Kate and her team of Pirates that will sail the ocean to deliver
medicines and Krakoa products to other nations.. They will also rescue mutants from countries that are harming mutants..
The United Nation agreed and documents were signed that all mutants are citizens of Krakoa and will be in protection of
Krakoa..
Both Magneto and the Professor moved to the side and motioned to the gate before The Professor began to speak again..
"This gate is part of the many wonders of Krakoa with the help of Doug Ramsey we can create a new technology and this is
one of them.. On the other side of that gate Doug has created a civilization for our people.. We have cities and homes all over
the island waiting for mutants to move on in.. For all the refugees you can grab your things and bring them across the gate to
your new home.. For my X-Men we will take this week to pack our things move from the mansion to Krakoa.. So as of now we
are in transition.. Fallow me through the gate!" Charles announced as he lead the way through the gate with Hellfire behind him
and Magneto..
