James swept Michelle up into his arms and cradled her and a big smile on his face.. "We always find ourselves apart in conversation with other people when we need to spin more time together.. So I am going to dance!" Warpath said in tone that made Michelle giggle as he carried her out to the dance area and put her down..
"So what is on your mind?" "So much to process is all babe. Things are moving so fast with all of this and it may be the old pessimistic Summers blood in me but I wonder if things are moving too fast?" She said before tracing a hand across her husband's face gently.
"But enough about that now. Let's just focus on us." She said before kissing him deeply as the two floated off the ground.

As things seem to get a bit more lively the younger of the two Pryor sisters made her way over to her boyfriend Angel.
With the business of the Hellfire Trading Company going on the two hadn't had much time to spend together. She wanted to change that.
"I know its not traditional for the woman to ask first but would you care to dance beloved?" She said with a smile holding out her hand. "I would love too!" Warren said as he took Persha's hand and then pulled her into his arms as his wings stretched out and with one mighty flap of his wings like a missile they went straight up in the air. Past everyone that was dancing to the the top of the dome.
"I like the view from up here." He said as two dolphins were staring at them as Warren waved at them.

“Come on guys and gals let’s get our dance on!” Spouted Santo as Rose and him lead the way for the younger X-Men to head out to the dance area..
He was happy to get away from all the Scarlet Witch talk.. Which was never a good to bring up anyway shape or form.. Rockslide also knew why Prodigy brought it up and hoped that his relationship with Speed would not suffer under who Speed’s mother was.. "I hear everyone talking and saying that want to have more time like this. I know our life can be complicated but I don't understand why we can not make more time for all of us like this. What do you think Santo? Do you think we can make this happen more my love?"

Emma did not venture out onto the dancefloor like the others. She stayed at the table with Sebastian Shaw and the rest of the Hellfire that decided to stay at the table. Emma loved the music that Roslea and Karenza's family was playing. It was the type of music she loved and part of her wanted to go out onto the dance floor.
"This is our community and our future!" Emma said to Shaw and everyone that was still at the table. This should of been our mission from the beginning. Look at them all out there with smiles and laughter. Do you see the strength and power in that?"

While everyone else continued to enjoy each others company, Ray found his way off into a random corner under some Atlantean structure. From his position, he could see all of the others if he turned his body all the way around, but it made it hard for someone to see him if they didn't run over. Which was fine with him, he wanted to be alone.
He couldn't help but think about all of what he just heard and all of the reasons why he left the X-Men in the first place. He didn't know if things got better since he left, but so far, it really didn't seem that way. Once the music started, he shuffled out of his spot to see what was going on, and watched as everyone got up to dance to the music Kari and her family were playing.
"At least they always manage to squeeze some happiness out of it," he said to himself as he moved a bit so he could better watch the show.

"I have been locked away for so long and not been out in the world for so long Emma that all of this looks grand to me." Christian said as he pored himself more of the fairie wine and then topped off his sisters glass.
"I just feel good to have a future."

{{And how did this happen?}}
Mealla Summers was still not used to this world. She missed her own place in the multiverse, and she just wanted to go back home. She did not want to be in this weird vision of the world her great grandmother Siofra tried to feed her. That woman was insane, even if no one else admitted it.
Mel did not fully "get" how all this partying was going to make things better, and she had no clue why Xavier's speech tomorrow was going to change everything.
She was happy her shoes weren't killing her feet for a change.
She was happy not too many people bugged her or her cats most days.
Mel looked toward the younger X-Men and bit her lip. They looked happy, and that was one emotion that was not usually on her roster. The term "fake it 'til you make it" could easily describe Mel's usual state of being.
Be heroic like Dad.
Be heroic and perky and helpful like Mom.
Be a total fake. Yeah. Got that covered.
Mel carefully avoided the family dynamic on all sides and walked toward some rather dreary little corner and plunked herself down in front of the dome, watching some jelly fish swimming by before turning to see this guy everyone called Ray. Another legend. Figures.
"Hey," she said quietly to Ray, just to let him know she was there before turning back to the sea views. She wasn't going to bug the guy, but he ought to know she was there so if she sneezed he didn't freak out. Last time she scared someone, she nearly got stabbed. Not repeating that again.
{{Maybe I should become a mermaid?}} she thought as she then remembered the ones in that pirate movie. {{Then again, maybe not...}}

Piotr started to clap his hands just as Roslea and her family began to play the music.. When Roslea started to sing Piort turned to Enya and held out his left hand to her.. “Would you like to accompany me for a dance?” He asked as Enya took a hold of his hand and make his way to the open area in front of the stage and both began to dance.. For Piotr and Enya they were focused on enjoying this moment.. Enya drew in a deep breath as she took Piotr's hand and went to the dance floor. She thanked the Goddess the chances of anyone messing up this evening were few and far between because they were in Atlantis. "Hey, that's a good idea," she said as she levitated herself and her tall and handsome dance partner above the dance floor. "Don't worry. I've got you."
If she had been less concerned about mucking this up, Enya would have started to tell Piotr about her days back in pre-Soviet Russia, but no one needed that history lesson tonight. The music was too beautiful, and everyone was having way too much fun to start talking about the Mad Monk of Moscow and all the horrors of 1917. Enya loved Russians and the country in general, but that cleric was a freak no one needed in their lives.
"I can't remember the last time I saw them all like that," she said as she motioned to Kari and her siblings and children. "I'm glad we are getting to share this tonight," she said as she lifted herself up a bit further and gave Piotr a kiss. "I hope we have many more nights like this."

Post by Dana MacFeorais on May 16, 2021 23:21:18 GMT
Pete found himself standing in front of the stage with his flask of Irish whiskey and was feeling way more then tipsy as he watched Karenza’s family performing.. He was shocked to see Dana MacFeorais with a tambourine..
“Bloody Hell!?” He thought to himself as he looked down at his flask and remembered that he drank a whole bottle of Fairie wine and began to wonder about his current reality if he was seeing what he was seeing.. Dana waved her tambourine at Pete and laughed as he looked down at his flask. {{Relax, Pete. I came for the weddings. You are not imagining things}}
Truth be told, Dana did miss being with Pete, but his work plus her studying for multiple bar exams at once left little time for a real relationship, so she had decided to let him do what he needed to do without her messing it up for him. He had been too good to her in the time they had together (even if her brother Cormac thought otherwise), and she was not going to be one of those bitter exes you read about in some trashy magazine. He deserved his happy ending, even if it wasn't with her.
{{If you need a top off for the flask, my brother Keir is here, and he likely has some of your favorite on him. And I know he won't punch you}} Dana said to Pete as she smiled at him again. {{I actually passed the bar for Wakanda! I think I can now safely defend the X-Men in almost every country they have a strong presence. I need to check that list of mine again. It only got longer! When we're done up here, we can have a proper catch up if you aren't busy. We can have Keir chaperone if you need. Don't want to upset anything for you}}

"And no, I am not going to join in with my siblings," Hayely said quietly to Claire and Sydney as she watched everyone else having a good time. "I can't carry a tune in a bucket, and I don't play. That family trait for musicality evaded me."
If Hayley were being perfectly honest--with herself, with anyone willing to listen, with poor Sydney who had somehow gotten psychically-linked to her during a botched bit of spell work, even with the Goddess Danu--she would have screamed to the rafters that she missed Adrian and that only his arrival would set that to rights, even if he wanted to be just friends. It would hurt, but Adrian alive and well beats Adrian lost to the universe.
If wishes were horses, Hayley would have had a Kentucky Derby winner or six by now. Alas, that was not about to happen. Neither the Derby winner nor Adrian's arrival. Take your pick. And the way they had left things was less than grand in the first place. That seemed to be Adrian and Hayley's way. Drama to the left of them, sadness to the right of them, and them stuck in quick sand in the middle.
"Don't let me keep you two from enjoying the music--at least until we figure out the incursion situation with Dante," Hayley said quietly as she finally broke down and had a second glass of faerie wine. "I am likely to regret this, and I know it," she said as she took another sip. "If I start seeing things, please just spell me off to sleep, Sydney."
"Uhm, yeah, you drunk is not a thing the world needs tonight," Sydney replied as she gave Hayley a weird look. The last time they had gotten drunk was the night they more or less gave up on looking for the guys. Neither wanted to admit defeat, and neither wanted to lose the men they loved, but magic could only do so much. "And if I get sky high, please ground me. I do not need to wander to where Dante is sleeping and scare him. I'm likely to get way too frisky, then crash on him like a dead moose or something!"
Hayley nodded as she looked back at Claire. "I think Ray is hiding. I don't see him anywhere. I hope we didn't scare him off with our less than helpful suggestions," she said as she and Syd both look at Psionica.

Rose smiled as members of her family got the musical festivities going. She had no one to dance with but it didn't matter.
The hatted red head came onto the floor almost floating on air as she danced lights that almost seemed like fireflies danced around her head.
She hadn't cut loose in a while and she was glad to.

"At least they always manage to squeeze some happiness out of it," he said to himself as he moved a bit so he could better watch the show. As the party began to pick up, Dylan politely excused himself and made his way around the perimeter of the dance floor. He figured the Professor had hired him to address a security matter so he chose to just observe the festivities. Besides, he wasn't much of a dancer anyways. One thought bothered Dylan, if something could be a problem for the world’s most powerful psychic then how could a wannabe 20’s gumshoe solve it?
He would just have to figure that out later. What was important now was that he find the threat and assess what damage it could cause. With eyes honed by a decade of trouble, Dylan analyzed the occupants of the room.. He saw assorted couples enjoying their time together and surmised the only danger from them was a case of nausea from the sickening sweet displays of affection. There was the table of people who just oozed an aura of a thousand schemes yet to be put in motion. But he knew that such people were far too smart to attempt anything with the Professor in the same room.
There were also the assorted beings who’s very appearance just screamed malice. But trouble was rarely so obvious. No what grabbed Dylan’s attention was a Raven harried twenty something who was trying his hardest to sneak off unseen. That set off the alarms in Dylan’s head and he had to see if that alarm was trouble or the early warning of a hangover. The problem solver quietly made his way towards the young man and was surprised to pick up the slightest hint of ozone.

“Kids I don’t know if you officially met Elisabeth AKA Modem!” Bradly announced as he tried to focus back on the present moment and not get lost in his head with all the ways he could turn Krakoa grapes into wine.. The many possibilities of flavors and so much more.. He already made medicines from many of the plants from the living island.. It was at that moment he found himself lost in his head again..
“What was I saying?.. Oh Bloody Hell I was lost in my head again.. I was just thinking what kind of wine I can make from.. Oh I don’t think I can really talk about that yet.. Oh I think I that I did it again.. Must stay focus on the present..” Nemesis took another sip of wine.. Alice had managed to drag Damien away from the dome wall to where their father had been standing alone before, and now he wasn't so alone. Alice kicked Damien in the left shin before he could even open his mouth. "Hi," he waved to Modem before his sister could kick him again. "It's nice to finally get to talk to you!" Alice gushed to Elisabeth as she stood next to her brother. "I have no idea what Dad is talking about, but that's OK!" "For now anyway," Damien said as he looked toward their brothers Gallion and Duncan and smirked. "As long as Dad doesn't do anything to mess with my new pals, I'll be fine," he said as he turned and pointed to the rear dome wall where a large group of fish was still gathered. "I like fish. They are calm and don't make a lot of noise." "Unlike you!" Alice said with an uncharacteristically nasty growl at the end of the comment.
"What did I say this time?" Damien muttered as he stuffed his hands in his pockets. "He never takes a joke well!" Alice said with a giggle as she kept looking at Elisabeth. "You were helping Dad with those jellyfish before, right? That's pretty cool!" Modem chuckled at banter between Alice and Damien. "Hmm...Oh yeah I was helping with the Jellies when we went down to the newer city. Though most of the time I can say that he's Goose to my Maverick when we have to do something in the Blackbird."
Elizabeth plucked the wine glass from Bradley's hand. "Ok you I think the mixing of Atlantian wine and Fey wine don't mix well." she teased him.

Aisling blinked as the young man spoke to her. She studied him for a few minutes and finally spoke, "Aisling, and yea I'm not a party person so this is all... ...meh...for me. Didn't have much to party about when I was growing up. So what brings you to the wacky world of the X-men?" she asked.

Chetna smiled as Ashvin ran up to join the family band. "That is truly his element," she said to Japh as she waved to her brother. "Music has always been his first love. He DJs sometimes back in Mumbai. He has a pretty good reputation in the smaller clubs there. And no, that talent skipped me. No one needs to hear me sing. I swear I would break the dome and let all the water in!"
She could not help tapping her feet, though, as the music continued to play.
"Would you like to dance?" Chetna asked Japh as she extended her hand to him. "I am not the best there is at this, but maybe it's time I started to unwind a bit more than I have been?"
