"Now how am I supposed to get up there?" Jack asked as he looked up at Rose as she danced high above him. "Remember, I have no wings to fly, and I do not have any magical doodad to get me there."
"Oy!" John yelled from the stage. "Jacko! Need a lift?" he shouted as he waved his hand and lifted the pirate into the air. "Don't say I never lend a hand, you old git."
"I still have no idea why Kari keeps that man around," Jack scoffed as he turned and bowed to Rose. "Then again, I am not sure why I am allowed to hang around either!"
Jack smiled as he took Rose's hand and twirled her in the air. "I am sorry Emma kept me away so long. All will be discussed tomorrow, but it looks like I will be staying around once more. Does that meet with your approval?" he said with a very wide grin as he continued to dance with Rose.
Jack smiled at Rose's kiss. The offer of a job and the possibility of romance left Jack a bit more giddy than usual, and he was a fairly jovial fellow to start with!
"I am so glad it meets with your approval. I would hate to think it might not!" he laughed as the pair continued to dance. "I am just shocked that someone like Emma Frost would think I am up to snuff enough to be included in any mutant endeavor. I guess this is truly a new age for all concerned. I take it you will be staying as well?" he asked as he kissed Rose lightly on the cheek in return.
