(X-Holiday) Atlantis...Part 5

"Tomorrow we are going to have a double wedding," Moira said as she stepped closer to Hank. "Two of the couples on the team will be wed here in this beautiful place, and then we will celebrate their unions and have a very long awaited holiday meal for the team, the students and some close friends."

Moira carefully put her hand on Hank's shoulder. {{Darling, you are exhausted. I can handle any work on uploading a table for Alice and Coraline}} she said in their link. {{Lime can help as well. You have enough on your plate, and we can chat on all this alternate realty business another time. You do need a good night's sleep. Maybe I can fix you one of my teas later before bedtime?}}

"Mom, I can help with the tablet," Lime offered as he dug into his food. "Alice, Coraline, I'm Lime. You can let me know the things you are interested in, and I'll tailor it to what you want to know. My sister Kathy will probably help, too, if she ever gets back over here. Kathy, I'm going to eat your dinner if you don't get over here!"

Moira looked at Lime and shook her head.

"I'm kidding, Mom! Really. But she's off in space looking over some hot Atlantean dude, I bet," Lime added as he continued to eat.

"Once the festivities are concluded, we will gladly give you any help you need," Moira added as she smiled at Alice and Coraline. "And if you have any dietary issues that need to be addressed, we can do that as well," Moira said as she looked at the beverage Coraline was drinking. "Our raw materials might differ from those in your world, so the end products you can create might differ a lot as well."

Lime looked back at his parents and nodded to them. He tapped his ear for a minute to let Moira know to open the family telepathic link. ((Dad, thanks for your confidence in me--in my powers and who I am. Please pray I don't stick my foot in my mouth now)). Lime then tapped his ear again so Moira would close the link.

"Sorry about that. Mom's a telepath. That was gushy family stuff. It would have made you barf," Lime said as he looked at Alice and Coraline. "I can understand why you might be worried. Heck, see that guy over there? The big tall samurai looking guy with the beard...that's my great uncle Kai. Everyone says he looks like Keanu Reeves, but he is a tengu demon warrior from another world. Turns into a raven. In his world he saw his father's army kill his half-sister, the one that would be my mom's mom. They wanted him to be evil, but he never could be. He has honor pouring out of his veins instead of blood."

Lime looked around again and saw his Uncle Liam. "And that guy there? The one in the green battle armor? He looks like Master Chief in a Halo video game. They call him Claymore. That's my Uncle Liam. He came from another world, and when he got here, he lost his wife and daughter. Even when things went bad, he stayed good. I am trying to make a point, and I am likely doing a craptastic job at it."

He took a deep breath and finally got to his point.

"We all know why you are scared. New weird world. People you know or have at least heard of that are not even close to the ones you know. We get it. And so do the humans who are here..."

"Yup, he means me," Carrie Carlyle replied as she stood up. "Fully non-powered human. No magic weapons. Member of the Fourth Estate, or to be less fancy, a working journalist. I just have really good friends here--old ones and new ones," she added as she motioned to Magneto and the others around her. "And there are others here, too. Jack O'Neill is back there, and he's a baseline human. Christopher Summers. We are welcome, and not just because of some weird, freaky reason or shared blood. We have just tried to get along with others. These people here have saved my life more than once. And I hope I can repay the favor by bringing their stories to the world."

"I'll gladly help you two see where things match and where they don't," Lime continued as he looked back at Alice and Coraline.  "I mean, you may have to read the 700 tome history of my grandmother Kari and her family to get the full picture of the mystic side of stuff in my family, and I am sure Illyana Rasputina could tell you stories about Limbo and the magic there. Bishop and Cable can tell you about the future, and the professor and Magneto can tell you about how they decided to work together again because we don't want to see students cruxified on our lawn when we can work together to make sure mutants and mystics and their allies are safe. We are not out to kill the world. We want to make sure the little ones get to see it."
