The gray lines started to vanish from Ewan's skin as he looked up at the woman who had introduced herself as Jessie. He smiled at her as best he could before he stopped sipping on the blood bag. "Thank you," he said softly as he started to take in everything and everyone around him. "Home. It has been a long time since I've been anywhere that was remotely close to home."
Ewan's mind swirled as he felt the mixed emotions of everyone in the room. He still couldn't believe what had started as a true quest had ended as torture at the hands of the Shadow King and Cassandra Nova.
"Are you a member of the Summers family?" he asked Jessie before he finished off the blood bag.

"I'm glad you two didn't wait on me," Kari said as she hugged Rogue and Gambit. "Congratulations! May the Lord and Lady bless your union."
Kari looked at the younger X-Men, from Monet and Jubilee to Hisako, Quentin and Glob Herman and smiled. "And I am very proud of all of you and what you have become since last we were together. The teams could not have been in better hands during our absence." There were others that were new to her, but they were still very familiar because of connections she could see that others might not. Turns of phrase. Colors of eyes. Stances. Auras. So many connected in such subtle ways. "And to those of you who do not know us, I pray that we have many years together to get to know one another."
Then Kari saw an older version of Logan at the back of the group and nodded to him. He had stories to tell that she was sure would break her heart. When he was ready to talk, she would listen, but in her heart, she was sure she knew them all already. The parts of her that Merlin had scattered across the realms likely left their mark on that man's world. She just prayed it was a good presence and not a malevolent one.
"Hisako, when this encounter with the Inhumans is over, perhaps we can talk about your squad? I'm fairly sure Nova wiped out any memories of most of my younger children, but a few of them made it back with me. While they may be up for this battle, they will need a team structure to work with going forward. I hope they can fit into your squad or one of the other younger groups."

“Bonjour, mon ami!” Gambit said as he gently took Karenza’s hand and kissed the back of it.. “I can not even
tell you how much joy seeing you and the others brings such joy to my heart.” Remy said in a tone of such love
that both Kari and Gambit’s eyes watered up a bit.. They embraced in a hug as they were family in every way..
Before they parted he kissed the side of her cheek.. Gambit then spun around and faced Galen.. “Salut, frere!”
Gambit said as he embraced his old friend.. A man he saw as a brother.. “Your looking good my friend.” Gambit
took a moment and wiped the tears from his face..

Jubilee and Revolver both rushed in with Jubilee dragging him behind her.. Once they came into
the station and saw Karenza and the others she gasped and fell back into Gallion’s arms.. “It’s true!..
It’s really true!” Monet and Duskk both walked over and joined the couple..

Kari stopped to hug Michelle tightly before the rest of the team started filling in around them. "It is good to be home," Kari said softly as she broke the embrace. "We lost hope so many times that we'd make it back, and sadly, now I know why," Kari said as she reached up to wipe the bloody tears from Michelle's face. "I'm sorry for the pain this caused for everyone, and I'm sorry for the years lost. Even to an External, the loss of so many years is heartbreaking."
As she smiled at Michelle, Kari tried to piece together so much of what had been that likely now was gone forever. "Warpath? You are still together, right?" asked as a few stragglers who had made their way out of the portal started to move among the team. "Excuse me for a second," Kari said to Michelle as a tall blonde woman came over to them. "Michelle, this is my sister, Roslea. We brought her back during a short stint on Avalon. She's remained hidden on the Holy Isle for centuries."
The blonde nodded and smiled as she looked at Michelle. "A pleasure," she said as her familiar, a grey Persian cat, rested in her arms. "Let me set this little minx down for a bit," Roslea added as she looked around the room. "So many people here called X-Men. It boggles my mind."
"Oh yes we are still together in fact ." She then contacted her husband through their link ("James there's someone here you need to see.") She said with a warm tone. "It's a pleasure Roslea." Michelle said with a smile.
Michelle.. “I just want this war to end so we can get to this monster of a celebration that we’re going to have after
this!.. Welcome home all of you!” |

“I second that!” Sam said after Warpath as he came in with the hugs down across the line to everyone
he knew.. He waited for Karenza last as he wanted a few more minutes with her.. She was a foster mother
to him.. With his real mother was back in Kentucky.. Kari was his mother figure at the school.. “Welcome
home Kari we missed and grieved your loss..” He said to her as he hugged her..

Daken sat down beside Rockslide and his sister Dark Red.. “Grow some stones!” Daken snapped at Santo..
“Your girl my sister is a warrior!. I do not think she likes this kind of weakness.. I thought that your one of
my fathers favorites?. I thought his students were tougher then this..” Dark Red gave him an angry look as

Suddenly a bright explosion of gold light filled the room.. When the light faded three people stood in the center..
Citian.. Rysta and another person all in black.. His long cape flowed out as some sort of helmet hid the face..
Something was off.. Citian looked much older and his clothes were different.. The only part the armor he created
from his Gold Phoenix shard covered his chest.. Around them at their feet were sentinel parts.. They both had Photon
Swords active as it was clear they were in a battle.. “We made it back!.. Finally we made it back!” He looked stunned
as he saw Karenza and the others.. “Mom!?”

The red photon blade turned to green just before it turned off.. The person in black hung his photon
sword off of his hip just as the helmet faded into the cape revealing the face of a fourteen year old boy..
He turned to face Karenza.. “Hello Grandmother!.. I am Jett Dayspring Summers and I am the son of Citian
and Rysta!.. It’s an honor to meet you!” He then turned and gazed back at his parents.. “I told you this was
going to be are last jump!”

Rysta chuckled as Jett gave them his polite 'I told you so.'
"And we never doubted you, padawan," she said using the nickname she'd given Jett during his time learning how to use a photon sword.
She slipped her hand into Citian's giving it a slight squeeze knowing the turmoil he was probably in by seeing his mother again after so long.

“My healing factor is kicking in I will be fine!” Bradly answered Iceman as he embraced his son
Poltergeist in a hug.. “I have had worst wounds before I assure you.” He reassured Duncan as
he pealed off his jacket and clothes.. “With Henry gone the Lab is now in my control.. Just give
a me a few minutes and I will pull this place together!” Nemesis said as he walked over to his
locker and pulled out fresh clothes to put on.. “You guys bloody damn well should get Magneto
into stasis!”
Blue eyes darted over to the newly arrived group of people from the vault and swallowed heavily, many of the people were calling the woman in the middle mother, and for a very good and personal reason it made the young technomancer feel very uncomfortable. With a slow deliberate move to get up she turned and came nose to chest with Bradley. "Oh damn, I'm sorry," she mumbled as she somewhat ungracefully flopped back down into the chair she was trying to vacate. |
