“That was before my time and I love hearing all your stories about when all of you were younger and all the fun you had. So I am really excited to have this experience tonight. I just have one problem and that is I don’t know how to ice skate.” Trevor said with a grin.

Post by Piper MacLeod on Jul 31, 2021 23:24:53 GMT
Piper had been listening to everyone and trying to stop Brodie from flying to the ceiling at the same time, so she missed the invitation to sit with Cable's group that Wade had made to D and Dante. She'd have tagged along at any rate, even if she wasn't some official Scooby member.
"Mister, I think you made me miss my breakfast invitation," she said to her son as he tried to wriggle out of her arms yet again.
Her son. That still sounded so weird.
Brodie and Shona's parents had died on a demon hunt, and they had more or less left instructions that the MacLeods were the only ones they trusted to raise them if they met an untimely end. Piper became the "obvious" choice because she was not working full-time as a demon hunter and could keep these little ones safe. But being a single parent left a lot to be desired at times.
"Let me," Piper heard a voice behind her as Hayley MacFeorais walked up to her. "He said his name is Brodie."
"What?" Piper nearly screamed as she suddenly realized her bouncing baby boy was using telepathy. "Oh, that can't be good!"
"Get your coffee," Hayley said as she looked at Brodie and nodded to him as he finally settled as she held him. "Let's get you over to your sisters..."
"So we can undo whatever you two did," Piper said to Hayley before turning back toward D and Dante. "Wait. Dante didn't even bug me about that birthday cake I owe him."
"He may not be our Dante," Hayley said as she grabbed some waffles and mushy bananas that Brodie could nibble on. "I'll let Sydney explain."
"And Adrian? Did you two ever work things out? Is he here?"
"He may be dead, at least that's what Dante thinks, so I have no idea yet," Hayley said with a sigh as she and Piper finally made their way over to Ein and Rose.
"Mama! I found Unca Ein and Aunt Posey!" Shona said as she hugged Ein. "I'm Shona!"
"Hey, Ein," Piper said as she gave a smile to the ninja and then turned to look at her sisters. "Boy, we messed this up big time, didn't we?"

OOC: I will make sign ins for Shona and Brodie soon. Their PBs are in this post--Isabella Flanagan (Shona) and Freddie & Issac Rhodes (Brodie), all of whom appear in the British soap Coronation Street
IC:
Rose smacked her head as Ein mentioned that no one told him D and Dante had been away. "And that one is on me," she said as she hung her head. "Remember that one time I went back to Edinburgh to see Granddad? That was the last time I saw these two, and we sisters got so out of whack after that fight that it went out of my head. I will try to not let the insanity keep me from making sure you are in the loop. I promise. Now, ladies, where is Adrian?"
Sydney started to wave her arms like she was signalling a plane to land, and Rose just gave her an exasperated look. "What? Adrian didn't...oh no," Rose said as she looked at Ein as he held Shona. "No. That can't be..."
"See why I wanted to change the subject?" Sydney said as she finally came over to Rose and Ein just as Piper and Brodie came over with Hayley. "Hayley, you really don't have to stay if you want to see your family." Brodie by now was trying to fly again, and Hayley just shook her head as she managed to wrangle him into her arms again.
Rose looked at Hayley and could tell she was in no mood to just wander off and get yelled at by some member of her clan. "Guys, maybe Ein and Shona can get acquainted while we chat?"
"I can make sure Brodie has breakfast while you talk," Hayley said as she turned to watch Shona with Ein.
"Unca Ein," Shona said as she hugged his neck tightly, "Mama told me and Brodie about you. She says you are a brave ninja and the only one with any common sense and that you are a saint for coming anywhere near her or the family. I don't know what all that means, but I'm glad you are here. Did you eat breakfast yet?"

Shalimar had been listening to her extended family talk when she decided to stand up holding her cup in the air. "I wanted to make one more toast. I've been a loner much of my life and to come here and have a family....Well it means the world. "To my family and to my friends a toast to you all."

Post by ROSE THE HAT on Aug 1, 2021 22:59:36 GMT
Mel was getting rather good at turning her "switch" on and off so no one would think she was running off the rails. She really wished she didn't have to do it, but she felt she needed to use that crutch more and more often now. Grandma Siofra had drilled that into her brain until she could almost recite the talk word for word.
She turned around and looked at her Aunt Rose and smiled. "Grandma said you'd be here. Sorry I didn't come over sooner. I'm still getting used to people again," Mel said with a sigh of relief that it was not one of the Summers who was likely to haul her up by the bootstraps for not staying with the group. "I thought you would be with Captain Sparrow. Then again, I haven't seen him out here yet. I doubt he'd be out here, but you never know..."
Mel looked around to see exactly what was going on in the refugee camp. Everyone looked happy enough, but she could tell some people were a bit antsy about everything going on.
"Is it me, or does this seem weird? OK, maybe the weddings are private. But with the big announcement, wouldn't the folks out here be expected inside later to hear the Professor? Maybe I'm nuts, but that just makes sense to me."
Rose laughed a little and responded. "Dear Mel as far as Jack goes the man does what he needs . I expect to see him soon . As far as what's going on? Honestly I'm still learning as I go. So much of this is foreign to me and that's saying something."

Shalimar had been listening to her extended family talk when she decided to stand up holding her cup in the air. "I wanted to make one more toast. I've been a loner much of my life and to come here and have a family....Well it means the world. "To my family and to my friends a toast to you all." Colin turned as he heard Shalimar speak. He had never met her, but he felt their connection--from both mother and father. He said a silent prayer that Siofra knew nothing about Shalimar and would leave her alone to live her life. A greater part of him doubted that would be possible, but hope was one thing he prayed was still in abundance around the X-Men.
Before he could say a word to his sister, Colin's phone chimed. He unlocked it and checked out who the text was from. His brother Gabriel. The text made his stomach churn, so Colin locked the device again and stowed it in his trouser pocket.
"The family is lucky to have you," Colin said as he winced for a moment. "Maybe I better sit down..."
Faith was still be Colin's side as she looked at Shalimar. "Colin is right. It is good to have another sister here. Mum must be happy to have us all here now." She nudged Colin's hand a tiny bit so she could heal him. She had done that a lot when they were stuck in Bagalia.
"I'm fine," he said softly. "How long have you been with the family then, Shalimar?" Colin asked as he smiled at his sister.

Mel was trying her hardest to remember anything her father had seen in his visions about Rose, Jack or anything to do with this event past her mission to get that book to Ray, and she was drawing blanks. She smiled at Rose and figured maybe it was time to do her best to forget her father's work for the moment.
Nope, that was never going to work.
"I am so lost," she finally admitted as she looked at Rose. "I don't mean as in I can't find my way around here. I'm totally fine wandering around and admiring the beauty of Atlantis, meeting the people who live here and stuff like that. I just don't know why I can't figure out how to fit in with the family yet. Maybe I just don't? I mean, there are all these big X-Men expectations for anyone named Summers. I got plucked to this reality by Great Grandma Siofra and her mage Amergin from my home world, and here I am--the child of prophecy burdened with tons of expectations I know I can't live up to. And that's just the Summers side!"
Mel took a deep breath and shook her head. "How much do you know about the Askani? Or about my Dad Ben and Mom Gwyneth?"

"Nathan!" Ronan said as he went to give his son-in-law a hug before he stopped to kiss Kari on the cheek and hug her. "It has been too long!"
Ronan looked back toward Kennis and saw her trying to keep Aerfen more or less to rights as they moved among the Summers group. "Aerfen? I can get Ardan..." he started to say as his niece shook him off. "But if you need me to, just say so."
The Swordbreaker took a quick headcount and saw that D and Dante were nearby, as were the MacLeod sisters. Hayley was near them, but Adrian was nowhere in sight. "Kari, where is..."
"I'll fill you in later," Kari sighed as ash reached over to give her mother a hug. "And I'll fill you in about the mess with Mamo. You may want to check on Rory later. He got the brunt of her anger before she took off for Bagalia."

Post by Carrie Carlyle on Aug 2, 2021 23:22:06 GMT
Carrie had gotten ready early and went to meet her boss, Victoria Tennison Winchester, at one of the main entrances to the mutant section of Atlantis. The Atlantean guard was very helpful in getting her to the right spot and getting both ladies back to the area where the X-Men were already having breakfast.
"A new dress?" Victoria asked as Carrie adjusted the outfit Sydney MacLeod loaned her.
"Actually, it's a loaner," Carrie replied as she looked over to where Sydney was standing. "That lovely lady there in the red dress had a spare, thank Heaven! I owe her big time for this."
"The color suits you," Victoria noted as both women looked around for Professor Xavier and Magneto. "I guess our benefactors for this grand event are busy, so perhaps a bit of food would not be out of order," she added as she did a final check of her phone. "I left Esteban in charge. I hope I don't hear from him at all today."

"Well, they certainly do know how to throw a party," Victoria said to Carrie as she looked around and saw some of the more notable X-Men members milling around the dome. "And I take it that is the mystic section over there?" she asked as she motioned toward where most of the Clan MacFeorais was holding court. "I've met the matriarch of that clan. I hope the rest of them are not as brash as she is. She really fits the moniker 'The Queen of Everything,' and I find that a bit too distasteful most of the time..."
Carrie nodded when Victoria started to wax on about Siofra. "The rest of the family is not quite that out there. Some are a tad eccentric, but they do not want to rule the world."
"Good. I have seen reports about the family's dealings in Bagalia. The O'Cathains. I'm glad they are not all like that," Victoria said as she found a cup of tea and took a sip. "Now, when do the weddings start? If Emma Frost is involved, I am sure the dresses will be stunning!"

Post by Ravager (Jackson Munroe) on Aug 4, 2021 14:53:05 GMT
Jackson sat down beside Rachel as they sat with Jean and the Summers family. He was more than happy to start eating Bishop’s magical waffles. The first time he had Bishop’s waffles was when he was in his early teens. Back then he was just Storm’s nephew unknowing that his Aunt Storm was his mother and that his father was Forge. They chose this secret to protect him but in the end he was a mutant and he would never be safe. Weapon Plus still had taken him and experimented on him with techno organic sentinel technology into his DNA. They wanted to see if mutants could be sentinels. It was the same thing they did to Revolver. Now Jackson knows the truth and returned home. His father was missing and that was something that ruled his mind. For the moment he was just happy to be with Rachel the great love of his life.
“I just came to an epiphany.” Jackson said to Rachel after finishing his third bite of his waffle. “I think that I need to learn how to cook. I mean I know how to cook, I just mean learn how to cook like this!”

“Looks like we have some drama with the Shaw and the Hellfire people.” Gabriel said as the Black King yelling caught his attention.
“Sounds like not everything is good this fine morning.” He said as he watched Ghost stand up to Sebastian.
“If no one like’s Shaw then why is he here and apart of this new Hellfire?” He asked.

Creed walked over to Mystique and Axle.
“Why are we here Raven? Because Erik summons us like dogs! We come running to join the X-Men because he wanted to give us a chance? They don’t want us here or even give us a chance! Look how they give us the stink eye!” Sabretooth suddenly became silent as he felt the barrow of a gun pressed against the back of his head. It surprised him because he did not hear or caught the scent of anyone behind him.

“I was really reluctant to come here and then I see your ugly mug here. What the fuck is wrong with the X-Men to have you among their flock!” Maverick shouted as he placed the barrow of his gun on the back of Sabretooth’s head.
“It’s taking everything that I have to not pull this trigger and watch that head of yours Victor explode! Where the fuck is Logan! He has a lot of explaining to do!”

“You know JJ I forget how much fun it is to be among the X-Men. I need to learn how to balance my private life and the X-Men.” He said and JJ knew exactly what he meant about private life. Fantomex loved the thrill of a good histe. The more complicated the better the histe was. If he was going to be back in the X fold he would still have to keep to his thieving lifestyle, unless the X-Men needed his special skills on future missions. The idea thrilled him and gave him hope.
