The moment food was mentioned, Claire's stomach started to growl. "Oh dear lord, I would love some food!" She said excitedly to Gambit as she and Jean moved toward Gambit and Rogue. The younger Jean was quickly caught up in some telepathic task. If Claire weren't so hungry, she would've gladly helped out the Professor and the others with their task, but teleporting as far as she had as well as connecting psychically with Jean took a lot out of her.
Once she was given some food, Claire immediately sat down and began to eat like she never ate in her life. "Oh, how I missed this food," she said to herself. She kept an eye out for everything going on with Xavier and one of the younger students. She wouldn't be much help right now, but she'd go over to assist if it came down to it.
"Thank you Chere!" Gambit responded to Claire as Rogue and him sat down across from her with
their own bowels and began to eat..
"Welcome back it's been a long while.. Gambit is always happy to see a old friend return." Gambit
said as he looked over at Nate Grey floating in the air and wondered if their was a connection..
Then suddenly the whale with Beast and the students appeared over the dome..
"Henry and the others are back!" He announced..

"Our Beast and the students have arrived.." The Professor said to Alice as he still waited for
her answer from their discussion..
"I know you must be overwhelmed.. Just know you are safe here and we want to help you
as best as we can."

Before she could utter a word to Xavier or Magneto, Carrie watched as they went and did that thing they did every single time she met them. Tide and time waited for no men, and that certainly held true for these men. She just prayed they could help this young woman. Heaven knows she wouldn't be much help on that front.
"Wait a minute. Big news? World changing?" Carrie said to herself as she sat down far away from where the action was going on and tried not to cover herself in gumbo. "And why me?"
"Why me what?" Sydney asked as she and Dante walked out of the portal. "Dante, gumbo at six o'clock. Go ahead and get yourself some before it vanishes. I'll see what's up with Carrie."
"No, I'm fine. Go get your food. It's delicious," Carrie replied as she nibbled on the garlic bread.
"OK then," Sydney replied as she followed Dante to the food. "But if you want to talk before Kari shows up, you know where to find me."
"I will. Thanks again for letting me borrow your dress," Carrie said as she kept looking at Professor X and Magneto. "This makes no sense," she said as she ate another spoonful of her gumbo. "I mean, I only showed up in Central Park because someone thought they saw Kari. It wasn't like she called me or anything."
As she ate, Carrie thought about the one thing Magneto said that smarted a bit. She knew he had little use for non-mutants, and she fully understood why. It still made her feel weird because, as far as she could tell, she was the only non-mutant here. She was one of the few that had been allowed behind the curtain in the past, and here she was again.
"Guess we will be playing the long game on this one," she mused as she looked up and watched Xavier talking to the young woman.

Claire was trying not to be rude while she was devouring the delicious food, so she took her time to finish chewing before she started to talk, even though it was hard to stop digging in with as good as it was. "Oh Gambit, it's been way too long being away from your cooking!" She said with a laugh before she went right back into eating. She knew that there would probably be questions about where she went at some point, but that she probably couldn't even answer completely.
She paused again and looked back when Beast and the others showed up to the dome before looking back at Gambit and Rogue. "I can't wait to see my kids again." Claire was way too tired to try to ping Ray and Naomi with her telepathy, but she could see that not all of the X-Men were in one place and wondered if they took the trip to Atlantis with the rest.

As soon as he and Sydney came through the portal, Dante shivered. The type of portal used to travel to Atlantis was different than the systems he used to Bodyslide and teleport across dimensions and universes. And with him teleporting a lot recently, he could feel his body being out of whack and trying to correct itself. It didn't hurt too much, but it was uncomfortable. He was surprised, since nothing like that had ever happened in any other universe he traveled to.
As Dante and Sydney started to walk over to the food, Dante's arm began to go wild as its sensors started to detect wild exotic energy. "The hell?" At first, he thought it was because of X-Man, who looked like he made it here just a few moments before both of them, but as Dante looked over the information, he glanced up and spotted Claire Madison, who was supposed to be dead.
"Parallanx!?" Dante shouted as he picked up the pace and moved over to Claire. Claire took a moment to stop stuffing her face before she looked up at Dante.
"Oh, hey Dante," she started with a smile. "And it's Psionica now. Parallanx is the version of me with the Phoenix Force." She then looked him over a moment. "What happened? Looks like you got turned into Cable."
"Nevermind me, what happened to you? You died! You got killed before the White Wall!"
"Well, I'm very much alive Dante," Claire said before she thought about what he said for a moment, and glanced at Sydney. She didn't read her mind, but she had a feeling that whatever Dante was thinking, he already filled her in. "I think I understand now. If you're worried about the Incursions, I didn't die. I brought myself into the White Hot Room and survived."
"You remember?!" For the first time in eons, Dante felt like he wasn't imagining things.
"I remember bits. I know everything blipped out of existence and came back, but the how's and why's are beyond me."

"Let's not worry too much about Apocalypse." Monet said as she looked around the space station and was not really like it too
much.
"You know I am not feeling it here. Why don't we head to X-Atlantis and get your mother all set up sense she will be at the
wedding." Monet said as she saw Manifold and waved him over.
"Can you open a portal to X-Atlantis for us?" She asked as Eden open a portal for her. "Thank you!" She said as she motioned
for the family to fallow. She took Duskk's hand and walked through leading the way. Cosmos, Quentin, Northstar and Dawn
was behind them.
"This is much better!" Monet said as they reached the other side of the portal and entered X-Atlantis from the Shi'ar casino
space station. Monet could smell Gambit's special gumbo.
"We should have some of that. Omnia your going to like this." Monet said as she began to fix her family some gumbo.

"We went from earth to a space station and now to the bottom of the Atlantic ocean!" Quentin said once he stepped out of the
portal with his arm around Everly.
"Your mother is right I need some of that gumbo." He said as he looked up and saw all the students swimming from the whale
down to the dome. "It looks like the kids went for a swim!"

Trevor and the rest of the younger mutant swam from the whale to the smaller dome. "That was a fast trip." Eyeboy said as they
all gathered in the dome and waited for the water to go down before they enter the big dome. Once the water went down past
his head he removed his helmet.

Once the water left the smaller dome the suit they wore turned back into a small ball. Josh handed it to Beast as they entered
the big dome.
"I smell Gambit's gumbo!" He announced as he turned to Hope, Goldballs and Tempus. "I am starving." He said as he looked
around and saw some old faces.
"I think we have some more returning people." He said to Hope.

Lazuli smiled as she had Bishop’s arm around her. “You know, I think us X-Men bring
out the best in people. Even if it takes a while to be seen. I was raised to be faithful
after all.” She gave him a kiss once the water left the small dome. “And I think you
bring out the best in me.”

Milo held Jean-Paul’s hand as they left the space casino. “This place is so beautiful.
I love the ocean and I feel like I could just live here.” He said looking up at the dome.
“So, how are you feeling right now handsome?” He asked while gazing into Northstar’s
eyes.

Omnia took a moment to look around the dome. (I’m sure nothing will

fix gumbo for all of them. He looked over at her for a second with a gentle smile. She always
left him awestruck and the lighting of the dome made everything seem so astonishing.

they spent the day in Atlantis. He stopped and looked around and saw a lot of old faces
that he had not seen in a long time..
"Well.. Well.. I see many of you from the past have made a wonderful return!.. So much
time has escaped us.. The moment I see all of you it brings me back to those days!.. So
to all my old friends welcome home and I embrace you all as family!" Henry said as smiled
and waved to everyone.. |
