Jean and Cyclops found themselves standing in one of Cable’s hidden bunkers after their Phoenix White Hot Room experience. Both of
them grabbed their heads as their memories from their younger selves began to return to them.
“Redd, Slimm?” They heard Kid Cable’s voice call out to them.
Jean looked over and saw the younger Cable around the same age when they had left him in the alternate apocalyptic future.
“Nathan!” Jean said as she ran over and took her son into her arms. She noticed that he was a little taller than the last time she had seen
him before they were returned to their dimension.

Scott walked over and wrapped his arms around Jean and Nathan in a family hug. All three of them
surrendered to the moment and allowed themselves to be in this moment of joy.. When Scott and
Jean had to leave their son behind it was heartbreaking for all of them.. But they were very grateful
that Rachel the Mother Askani was able to bring them through so they could raise Nathan from a baby
to his teens.. They were very grateful for that opportunity..
“I am so happy to see you again, my son.” Cyclops finally said, breaking the loving silence. “We now
remember everything.. You sent us back and fixed the timeline.. You fixed our mistakes.. I am upset
that you killed yourself..” Cyclops said as he stepped back and the three of them were standing apart
facing one another..
“You were a husband and a father.. And you had no right to do that!” Scott said in a stern voice.. As
much as he was happy to see the younger version of his son.. Scott was devastated by the physical
death of his older self.. Cyclops knew that Older Cable’s mental self was bonded to Karenza but had
no understanding how he could return to the physical world..

Kid Cable lowered his head in disappointment.. “I was afraid of myself and angry.. During the schism
you protected the original five from going back.. You lead your X-Men team against the other X-Men
to stop them from going back.. That was a huge mistake but you did not understand but he did! And
he still chose to back you up and keep them here.. The reason my older self traveled back is to keep
stuff like this from happening.. I could not afford for him to stop me from doing what he was supposed
to do.. If anyone could stop me it would have been him because he knows me better than I know myself..
I only had one shot of doing this and that is why I did it.. I had to do it.. I had no other choice! I hope that
you can forgive me?”

“It was a mistake. We could have found another way but we forgive you. Your future self has been through all of time and he knew this was
coming. Whatever decisions he made back then is because he knows stuff that we do not. I know he will find a way back to us. For now my
son, you stay with Scott and I. I know at some time you have to go back but for now you need to be with your family.” Jean said as she hugged
Kid Cable again.

Nate loved being in his mothers arms again and having his parents back.. He hated that he had disappointed
them but he did what he thought was right.. And he was right he saved the original X-Men and fixed the time
stream.. His mother was right he did not have to go back to the alternate future right away.. Kid Cable had a
small book that had information of his future travels before he returned to the Askani.. It was written by his
sister, The Mother Askani.
Suddenly a warm light surrounded the three of them and they disappeared..
