“Oh my God this smells so good!” Rose said as she sat down with Rockslide, Anole and at the table. She quickly went for the dumplings
and the fried rice.
“What a wild few days it has been. I hope everyone that is at Muir is doing well. Do we have any updates?” Rose asked as she began to
pile dumplings into her mouth.

“Yes, I can tell you what we know so far.” Polaris said as she began to explain everything from not knowing what was going on Muir island
to Ahab’s ship in New York and Orchis attacking the mansion and Nate Grey’s taking of both Angel and Magneto. Lorna also explained how
the Professor wanted them to stay and protect Krakoa just in case the situation connects to the island.

Surge sat across from Anole and the others with Dust, Glob and Pixie at her side. Noriko was also stuffing her face with dumplings while
listening to Polaris explain everything.
“This is crazy. I am glad we had all this fun time before crawling back into serious mode!” Surge said with a mouth full of dumplings which
made her friends laugh.

“You are going to choke!” Pixie scolded Surge when everyone was laughing at her.
“Seriously there is a lot of dark magic that is keeping me from seeing Muir Island. All I can see is darkness and it feels cold in my mind.” Pixie
said as she closed her eyes and tried to see using her magic. Pixie’s training with Magik and Saber had made her a strong beginning sorceress
of her own.

“Be careful Pixie!” All the Cuckoos spoke at the same time as they connected as one.
“You do not want to get pulled into the Shadow King’s trap. He looks for vulnerable minds that poke around him. He has a psychic dark web
that expands around him.” They explained.
“We have a direct connection with Emma so when she learns something new we can pass on the information.”

“I can not believe how fast this city has come to life. All the different stores are starting to fill up all over the place. You can just feel the
excitement from everyone; it makes everything that we have gone through worth it!” Jason said as he sat down next to Dazzler at the table
and began to sample everything at the table.

“The Professor wanted us to stay and make sure Krakoa and everyone here is safe. I feel a bit off knowing everyone else is in some sort
of battle while we sit here and feast and celebrate. I just hope everyone is going to be okay!” Dazzler said as she also began to dive into
the dumplings which were becoming very popular..

“I was thinking about your question on how the other mutants can look at you differently from The Avengers. They need to look at you
differently and see you as a X-Man. I think you should change your uniform to fit the X-Men. Seeing you fight as an X-Man and wearing
a new uniform gives a visual memory of your new status. It’s psychology at its best.” Lorna said to Firestar as she took everything she
said with an understanding nod.
Suddenly the Professor sent a mental call to everyone at the table about what was happening at the mansion with Orchis attacking. The
Professor began to explain that there was enough powerful mutants that could defend the Island and they needed to join the fight at the
school.
“Pixie, you need to get all of us there now!” Polaris commanded as she stood up and her clothes transformed into her combat uniform with
the cape.

“Ruth!” Pixie yelled out the name of her friend Blindfold as she saw her killed in the mental image that the Professor had shown her and
then she saw Wolfsbane.
“Give me a minute!” Pixie wiped the tears from her face as she felt Anole put his arm around her and pulled her into a hug. She hugged
him tightly as she tried to pull herself together. That was when the anger began to hit her and she wanted to hurt Orchis badly.
“Let’s destroy those fucks!” Pixie said as she chanted the spell “Sihal Novarum Chinoth!” and a portal a lot like Magik’s teleporting disks but
pink in color formed under them and suddenly they were standing in front of the mansion gates with the New Mutants heading in their direction
from the courtyard.
