Code Name: Ember
Real Name: Aisling Solis
Age: 23
Date of Birth: August 5th 1992
Place of Birth: Sydney
Height: 4’8”
Weight: 110
Hair Color: a mousy brown
Eye Color: Caramel
Legal Status: Suspected as a serial Arsonist, but the police couldn’t prove it.
Fighting Ability: throwing knives
Genetic Mutation: No visible genetic mutations.
Mutant Powers: Fire generation and manipulation.
She is able to control a fire that is of her own making; because of this she is also immune to being burned by the flames. Unlike her father she is also immune to fires not under her direct control; the best she can guess as to why this is, is because she can generate fire herself.
Bio: Aisling, was born to a young woman and St. John Allerdyce, though St. John didn’t know about her existence for most of her life. Her mother (a working girl) didn’t want the hassle that would come from having a child to take care of. So as with many unwanted children she was tossed away (quite literally, her mother tossed her in a dumpster). She was found by a group of children playing who heard her crying.
Aisling spent years in an orphanage, no one wanting to adopt her for some reason. The workers believed it might have had something to do with her quiet nature and seeming lack of interest in the adults that came to visit her; and a very strange interest in fire, not that she ever set anything ablaze.
At the age of sixteen Aisling had had enough of the pitying stares from the staff, decided to cut her losses and fend for herself on the streets of Sydney. It was also during this time that her abilities would awaken in the form of an assault by a gang of drunk off their butts tourists. They left her alone after one of their numbers received third degree burns, and later didn’t survive.
Once she turned eighteen and was able to gain employment she found a job as a waitress in a small dinner. The pay wasn’t great but it was enough to put food in her belly and what could be called a roof over her head.
One day while she was at work one of her co-workers was complaining about how much work her house needed done and that the banks wouldn’t give her a loan to fix it up. She joked that it would be better to burn the place down and collect the insurance money. Aisling later went to the girl and asked if she was serious about wanting to burn her house down, at first the woman said no, but a few weeks later came to Aisling with an offer of 5k to find someone willing to do it.
That was the beginning of her very prolific side career as an Arsonist for hire. She never asked for too much money from her clients and made sure that she was always paid in cash so that she didn’t leave much of a paper trail for the cops to follow to a bank.
It would be months down the road that she would meet a stranger who warned her not to go to the job she was supposed to do that very night. Aisling brushed it off until she was walking down the street to check the place out and spotted a few unmarked police vehicles hanging around the neighborhood.
When she met the woman again later in the week she thanked her for her warning and asked how it was that she knew what was going to happen. The woman smirked and said that she could see possible outcomes and that she might have a job better suited for the young woman if she was willing to come with her. When Aisling didn’t answer right away the woman told her that she would be back to see her in a few days, after the cops talked to her about something.
Sure enough three days later she was informally interviewed by the cops about why she’d been in the neighborhood of the targeted building and did she see anything of interest on the streets. After answering what questions she could Aisling went home and found the woman with the warnings on her door step, it was at this point that she agreed to go with the woman.
