"Thanks, Uncle Gabriel," Scarlett replied as she looked back toward her mom and grandma again for a minute. "I'll apologize to Ray later," she said before she sat down. "You said you had a breakdown?" she asked Gabriel very quietly as she drew in a deep breath. "We have a lot more in common than I realized. Wow."
As Scarlett looked at the food on the table, she kept one eye on her niece Mealla. The girl looked like she was careening for a breakdown herself, and Scarlett wanted to do anything to keep that from happening.
"Uncle Gabriel, you know, maybe you and I are here for a reason neither of us knows yet," Scarlett added as she grabbed his hand, another thing that was very un-Scarlett. "How much do you know about the Askani? I don't want to get all knee deep in the mythology if that isn't your thing."
history.. All of us are moving forward and I am feeling really blessed to have all of you here!"
Alex said as he reached out and took his daughters hand and looked over at Vulcan and Scarlett.. |

"It is good to see you again, Crystal," Kari said before the queen of Atlantis left to join Namor, "and it is a pleasure to meet you, Sarah. It is good to be back home again, and I hope days like this one can bring us all many more happy memories."
Kari turned her attention back to Jean as she stood next to Gabriel. She dropped her head for a moment and reached out to her own son Gabriel and his lady Eileen, but sadly they were not going to make it to join everyone this day. "Sorry, was trying to coax my son Gabriel and his girlfriend to join us, but they are in London on some assignment for MI13. I'd ask Wisdom if he could fill me in, but I know he won't be able to give me too much intel. Nothing new there!"
As she stood with everyone, Kari could feel the tension among some of her extended family as they started to mingle with the X-Men. She prayed that they had not brought the damnable cauldron this time out, and it seemed, for a moment anyway, that she could just enjoy the festivities before diving into some family nonsense.
"Alex, Lorna, it has been a long time, hasn't it?" Kari said as she sighed a bit. So much time had passed. "And Gabriel, I hope this all hasn't been too overwhelming for you? I know how hard it can be to get acclimated to new surroundings, and big celebrations like this can be daunting."
Kari stopped for a moment as Scarlett made her way over to the group. Mealla was not with her. "Is everything OK?" Kari asked as Scarlett came over and just hugged her mother.
"I have missed your face so much!. I am so glad your back my friend.. It really touches my
heart.. I had mourned your death so this is a miracle!" |

After Monet finished eating her breakfast she got up and walked over to the box that had her dress. She opened the box to reveal
a beautiful maroon dress with a veil to match.
“Thank you Emma it’s exactly what I wanted.” Monet said as she began to put it on with the help of the Cuckoos. She was excited
and could not wait for the wedding to start.
had a traditional but yet majestic in the way it looked on her. Monet wiped a tear from her face as
she felt very moved to see her daughter in her dress and gave her a hug. Something that was hard
for Monet to do. It made Everly emotional as she gave her mother a strong embrace. |

Emma gasped when she saw Everly her Godchild in the dress that was by far her favorite out
of all the brides.
"Magnificent my Godchild! Total class that does me proud!" Emma said as she picked up her
glass of Champaign that she had no shame of drinking this early in the morning and took a
long sip in celebration of her girls in their wedding dresses.

Jubilee teared up as she was so happy for everyone..
"This is the best day ever!" She said as all the ladies in the tent went into one big group hug.
Even the Cuckoos.. it had became a stong bonding moment for them all..

A holographic image of Major X appeared in front of Cable.. Major X was not wearing his helmet
and held a mug of coffee..
"Morning Dad.. Graymalkin station 2 is on line and downloading all the information you needed..
I am almost done here and then I will get dressed and join you soon..
"Good!. Everyone has wondered where you been.. And thank you for taking care of all that for
me." Cable responded back..
"I am just honored you have embraced me and trusted me to do this for you.. And this place is
awesome!"

“Well I am glad Jackson I am glad you made it back to us.. I know my sister is over the moon
to have you back in her life.. I know how much you mean to her.. I am also glad you can join
us for breakfast.. Can you excuse me for a moment..” Cable said as he stepped away when he
heard Deadpool call out to him..
Cable gave Deadpool a thumbs up when he heard Wade yell out about Dante and his friends..
Cable had ran into a few Dante’s during his jaunts through time and dimensions.. He wondered
if it was this Dante that was in any of those scenarios..
“Belle is that my techno-organic that is apart of Dante?” Cable spouted out as he raised his arm
up and a three inch red head female dressed in black hovered above his wrist.. She was a holographic
image of the A.I. that Cable had built into his arm..
{100% match to your T.O. Virus down to the DNA.. Like you Nathan his DNA is infused with quantum
radiation from many years of time travel..} Belle answered..
“Well that is a story I am looking forward to hearing.”
{Me too!} Belle added before she faded away..

There was a sudden buildup of heat in a part of the room, a little bit away from people, where the temperature swung so high that it felt like Death Valley in the middle of the summer before it immediately cooled down and the air began to shimmer. In a few seconds, a portal formed that allowed a bunch of steam and a little bit of water to spill out as it grew. Once it got big enough for a human to walk through, it started to get stable.
"Gah, damn magic! I'm never gonna figure this out!" Ein hissed as he walked through the portal, wearing a suit instead of his exoskeleton for once. In his time away from the X-Men, he'd been practicing his magic with Rose. He wasn't good at it, but he felt like he should at least try it out, which is why he suggested that he be the one to get the pair to Atlantis. He'd probably never do it again. I'm never doing this again!" He exclaimed as he looked back at the portal and waved his hand in a circle to keep it open while he waited for Rose to come through. He didn't know if he needed to wave his hand, but he saw Dr. Strange do it once.

Rose took a deep breath as she ran through the portal. It was not because of Ein's seeming hesitancy to use magic. His portal was fine. It was the fact Rose was making sure that things back home were locked down before they made the journey to Atlantis. She did not want anyone snooping around while they were away.
While Rose had been helping Ein practice his magic, she had also been trying to piece together what had gone wrong with her sisters. She'd been scrying, searching past memories tucked away deep in the MacLeod armory, and diving deep into the depths of her soul countless times to see what had gone wrong and why.
"Ein, your portal was fine," Rose said softly as she kissed his cheek. "Magic in Atlantis doesn't always behave as we would like it to. There is also a ton of magic around this place, so your portal might have, well, bumped against something. And I can see why..."
Rose was not prepared to see the huge infinity table in the middle of the dome, the influx of most of the MacFeorais clan and...
"OK, am I seeing things, or does Dante have a metal arm now? And why didn't someone tell us he and D were back?" Rose asked as she kept searching the room for Sydney and Piper. She gasped loudly as she saw Piper hefting a toddler on her hip, and then she heard a little girl yelling "Unca Dante" and sending butterflies into the air as she pulled Sydney along with her. "What the what? Maybe we should go back home?" she said to Ein just as the little girl started to run toward them. "Auntie Posey! Unca Ein!"
Rose stared at Ein and shook her head. "Uhm, I guess Piper was busier than I thought. No wonder she never returned my calls before we left. If you want to go talk to someone while I figure this out, it's OK. And I'll nip this Unca Ein stuff in the bud if you want."

"I really do have to stop that dying nonsense," Kari chuckled as she gave Lorna another hug. "It is getting damned old. I'm just glad everyone is here today and enjoying everything..."
Kari looked past the group around her to see that her parents had arrived. Thankfully, her grandmother was nowhere to be seen. "And most of my family is here. Finally!" Kari said as she waved to Ronan, Kennis and Aerfen. "Some of you might have heard me mention my cousin Aerfen. She might have some information regarding what Omnia showed us. I'll see what I can find out before she heads back home."
As she checked to see who else had come along for the weddings, Kari thought about her brother Orion and sister Fiona. They had left on a quest together before Kari's last exit from the X-Men, and she had only heard from them sporadically before most of the family left on that quest. Orion did not want their sister facing some fate worse than death when she went after her lost lover, a sailor who had been snatched from her by some wicked twist of fate centuries ago. If anyone could protect Fiona--be it on land or on sea--he was the person for the job.
"We really could do with a toast right now," Kari noted as she motioned for everyone to pick up their beverage of choice.
"May you be poor in misfortune,
Rich in blessings,
Slow to make enemies,
And fast to make friends!"
"Wise words, and not my own, for a blessed occasion!" Kari added as everyone took a drink.

Ronan stood and looked around the dome before waving to Kari and those with her. "Dearest, if you want to see Fachtna, I'll catch up with you later," Ronan said as Kennis shook her head and gave him an odd look. "What now?"
"Fachtna seems to be rather busy," Kennis replied as she watched her sister chatting away like a magpie with anyone who would give her a moment of their time. "She will be on someone's arm by the end of the party. I pray she has not set her sights on anyone too, well, too inappropriate."
"I don't think Magneto or Xavier will fancy your sister," Ronan said with a chuckle. "And that scientist Bradley is not her type either."
"She could end up cavorting with an Atlantean, and we all know how badly that ended the last time," Kennis added as they and Aerfen walked closer to Kari. "Let's just enjoy the day without the drama from our family."
"At least we will try," Ronan replied as they finally got to the group near their eldest daughter. "It is good to see all of you again!" Ronan said loudly as he looked for more of the clan before hugging Kari. "You can fill me in later on what happened with Mother," he said quietly as he finally broke their hug.
