OOC: Two more characters that likely will never return to play from gamers not with us now...

"I really do have to stop that dying nonsense," Kari chuckled as she gave Lorna another hug. "It is getting damned old. I'm just glad everyone is here today and enjoying everything..."
Kari looked past the group around her to see that her parents had arrived. Thankfully, her grandmother was nowhere to be seen. "And most of my family is here. Finally!" Kari said as she waved to Ronan, Kennis and Aerfen. "Some of you might have heard me mention my cousin Aerfen. She might have some information regarding what Omnia showed us. I'll see what I can find out before she heads back home."
As she checked to see who else had come along for the weddings, Kari thought about her brother Orion and sister Fiona. They had left on a quest together before Kari's last exit from the X-Men, and she had only heard from them sporadically before most of the family left on that quest. Orion did not want their sister facing some fate worse than death when she went after her lost lover, a sailor who had been snatched from her by some wicked twist of fate centuries ago. If anyone could protect Fiona--be it on land or on sea--he was the person for the job.
"We really could do with a toast right now," Kari noted as she motioned for everyone to pick up their beverage of choice.
"May you be poor in misfortune, Rich in blessings, Slow to make enemies, And fast to make friends!"
"Wise words, and not my own, for a blessed occasion!" Kari added as everyone took a drink.
There was nothing more special than seeing a very close friend that you cared about that you thought was dead ended up alive. Lorna was over the moon to see Karenza alive.
“I just feel really happy that your hear with us.” Polaris said as she picked up her cup of coffee and held it up to Kari’s toast. She gave both Alex and her daughter a smile and a wink.

Jubilee teared up as she was so happy for everyone..
"This is the best day ever!" She said as all the ladies in the tent went into one big group hug. Even the Cuckoos.. it had became a stong bonding moment for them all.. All the Cuckoos found themselves very emotional when they joined the group hug. When they first arrived at the school they the creepy sisters. Slowly they were accepted and made friends. As time went on slowly their friends became a family. Being in this group hug with their mother and these particular ladies was very moving to them.

“Of course you can join us Chere..” Gambit responded to Claire..
“So much is changing even before the Professor’s announcement.. A new Hellfire with Kitty joining Emma as one of it’s Queen’s with Bishop as her Bishop.. So much is changing in real time.” Gambit said as he sounded a bit surprised by the revelation.. He looked over at Rogue and she seemed unfazed by the news.. It brought a smile to his face as he wished he was a lot like her.. “I agree everything is changing fast. I am still trying to take it all in. The only reason I took this position is that Kitty said that she needed me. So I will do this for her but I am very excited to see where this will lead too.” Bishop said to Gambit as they all took their seats. “Kitty made the right choice to have you to have her back Surgah!” Rogue said as she sat down next to her husband Gambit and began to dig into her breakfast.
“All my love to the Chefs!” Rogue blew both Bishop and Gambit a kiss before taking another bite of her waffle.
“I can not wait to see what comes next for us X-Men. Whatever is coming it’s going to be big!”

"Oh yes we need to do that!.. Last time I was too scared to get on the ice.. But I would love to give it a try this time around." Sooraya joined the conversation as her memory of that day came back to her..
"That was the day I started to make friends for the first time.. I had just arrived a week or so at the school when Wolverine and Fantomex brought me to the mansion." “I wish that I was around for all of that. That sounds like a lot of fun and I wish I could see Santo on ice skates.” Rose said as she listened to the story of their very first holiday celebration.
“I am glad that Fantomex and my dad found you and brought you here Sooraya.” Rose said as she gave Dust a smile and a nod.

Antonia Mueller had just joined the staff a few days before the big party in Atlantis, so she was still trying to get used to everyone connected to the X-Men. She waved to Hank McCoy and James Bradley as she looked around for Cecilia Reyes and any of the other members of the medical staff she could find. The whole dome was massive, so it was easy to get a bit "lost" in the waves of people moving around inside it.
"Ooo...zebrafish," she said as she stopped by the side of the dome to watch the sea creatures for a moment. "I love being here," she said to no one in particular as people milled around behind her. "What do I smell? Waffles!"
Toni saw some food on the table near Hank and decided to walk over. "Mind if I join you all?" she asked as she noticed Moira and some of the McCoy and Bradley children nearby.
"Antonia!.. Yes please join us!" Beast said as he jumped up from his seat and pulled a chair out for her to take a seat.
"I am so glad that you can join us.. And yes this place is very nice place to be for all of this." Beast said as he quickly pulled another seat as Cecilia arrived..
"Good morning Doctor Reyes!" “Good morning everyone!” Sage said as she arrived in a black dress that barely went past the knees. She also wore knee high boots.
“Hello Antonia! We have not met yet. My name is Tessa but everyone just calls me by my mutant name of Sage. I am not on the medical team. I am on another team that Beast will be running soon.” Sage explained as she sat down at the table by Doctor Reyes and began to fix her plate.
“But I am sure we will be working together in some sort of way.”

"And here's to family. To new friends. And a new start!" Elda added as she raised her own glass to everyone. The Asgardian celestial was never certain of things after she landed in this reality but the extended X family had welcomed her in with open arms.
She was happy here.

" "Rain....You are not your mother remember that. " The Gold Queen said to her Bishop. "I know but some feelings never completely die."

"I appreciate the invitation," Brian said in his reply to Michael as he shook his hand. "It's not everyday a person gets an invitation to come to Atlantis, so I figured it was worth the trip. In fact, I didn't think anyone got invited to Atlantis." He paused for a moment and then gestured to the crowd of X-Men enjoying themselves. "Barring present company, of course."In the process of the conversation, Allen took Michael's hand as well. "Allen Perryworth, professional babysitter to trust fund kids." He said it as a joke, but he said it in a way that it kind of sounded like he believed it. "What's so important that the Hellfire Club's highest ranking members, one of which is a superhero on one of the most famous teams on the planet, would want us to come 10,000 leagues under the sea?""I have to admit, I'm curious myself," Brian added, "And with a glance, I don't think I can make out the usual suspects in the crowd. No Tony Stark, Norman Osborn, or even Spider-Man for that matter." "It is a pleasure to meet you, Allen," Michael said before he took a deep breath, weighing what to say on the lack of other, well, higher level non-mutant attendees at this event. "I believe that invitations to those gentlemen will come at another time. Tony Stark and one of the X-Men...tend to get a bit explosive when they are in the same general vicinity," he said as he turned his attention toward the Summers family group. "I know the stories of what Iron Man and Karenza did to each other during that Civil War incident are legend, but they have crossed paths at other points. And I am sure Professor Xavier wanted to avoid an incident today when we have three weddings to celebrate. And Loki is a friend of Saber Summers, so that explains his invitation."
As Michael looked around for Emma, he had no luck in finding her. Then he remembered where she was. "Emma is with the brides, but I am sure later she will come over and chat a bit about future plans in the greater scheme of things. I can talk about the one standing issue on my agenda. The Gray Court has been decimated of ranked members in the last few years. Your resume is most impressive, Brian. Would you be interested in the position of Gray Bishop or Gray Knight? I could use someone with your business acumen in my court."

"I'm not sure you would still say that if you knew who I really was, but thank you for it anyways. My time here has been full of ups and downs, but yes- I do have people who care about me here. It's just that I will be losing some of those people soon, and one in particular is breaking my heart with the need of it. " Kura peered up at Marcela. "Have you ever been afraid of yourself? Truly terrified? I am. I am afraid what will happen when I have to say goodbye." Marcela couldn't help but laugh. She wasn't laughing to be rude, but she couldn't help it when Kura mentioned that she didn't know who she was. "Oh, you're wrong on one point, Kurenai," Marcela started. Here tone was entirely different, ethereal, almost as if she were a different person entirely. Blue energy began to bubble up out of her coffee cup before exploding into a dazzling lightshow in the shape of a familiar firebird. "I could feel that fire inside of you, that fire that makes you from a mile away. It's what drew me to you."Marcela took the small Phoenix-like energy into her hand and molded it before it stopped glowing and turned back into coffee that poured itself back into her cup. She cleared her throat afterward. "Sorry if that was weird. It just comes out sometimes," She said before she finished her drink. "But to your question, I've felt terror more times than I can count. It's a paralyzing feeling, but that's why we have friends to help us move when we can't. Some goodbyes aren't forever, others are permanent. But both are necessary. You're not going to discover your true strength until you experience that heartache."[googlefont="Tangerine: 700"]

"Thanks Vic," Ray said to Anole as he took a seat near him and the others, "And sorry about last night, I didn't expect to... You know, run off." Ray kept quiet for a second since he really didn't want to think about last night or Apocalypse right now. Not to mention his horrible night of sleep thanks to his nightmares.
Ray smiled to Cessily when she handed him the coffee. He didn't get much sleep, so he needed it. After taking a sip, he turned to Hisako. "It's a wedding, so I think things can only get better from here. I mean unless a Kraken breaks in and tries to eat me." He laughed, but he really hoped today would be easier than yesterday.
When they spoke of their early get togethers, Ray remained quiet and drank his coffee. Sadly, he couldn't remember ice skating. He was a loner sometimes in those days, and after getting kidnapped by The Hand and Hydra back in those times, he still had holes in his memories. If he was hanging out with them back then, he'd forgotten.

Mealla literally ran away from Scarlett at the first opportunity, and she was glad she did. This was not her home. This wasn't her family, as much as DNA said otherwise. Her big sister Pez wasn't here. Her dad was in some pit in what might as well have been Hell. And her mom was a smoldering heap of ashes that had blown away in the middle of a war no one wanted.
No one had come to save her until that lunatic mage Amergin opened a portal and pulled her to this world. She should have been grateful to him and to her great great grandmother Siofra, but she wasn't. If she had her way, she'd find a spell to send her home, even if home was nothing more than a place to remember pain.
Mel glanced at the group that was near Ray Madison, and she noticed he hadn't picked up the little gift she had left for him. Her Uncle Branan had been very, very specific. She had to leave the book where Ray could find it. She had played her part. She wasn't supposed to do more than that, even if she felt like shoving it into his chest and screaming at him again.
{{I wish I could be honest with Scarlett}} she thought as she slowly erected every psi-shield her father had taught her so no one could hear her. {{I wish I could be honest with Ray. What they didn't do dooms us all, and I can't fix it. Dad was so sure about that, and I have to believe him. But I have no idea what comes next}}
As Mel walked further away from the wedding festivities, she saw the crowd of refugees who were in a park beyond where the X-Men were partying. {{I'll go incognito out there}} she said as she pulled up the hood of the jacket she was wearing so no one would notice her. She doubted anyone would recognize her anyway.
OOC: Mel is going away from the main group for a bit, but if anyone wants to follow, feel free

Sam stepped back a bit as everyone crowded around Kit...Kate. ((Man, I am going to need to keep on top of that)) he thought as he got a high sign from Bee that he was still entertaining the kids. Sam waved back and gave him the thumbs up sign. Then he turned his attention back to the group.
"Hey, everyone grab a glass! To Kate! The most kick-ass Hellfire Queen ever! And to the changes that Hellfire is going to make--in a good way, for everyone!"
Sam hoped that his words were actually going to be true this time. Shaw and Priest were a crap shoot at best, but if anybody could get them to side, the combo of Emma and Kate could do it.
Priest's bodyguard guy came wandering over and gave Sam a very odd look. "Hey, just giving the lady her due," he said as the nattily dressed Brit raised his glass as well.

"Graeme Forrester, Michael Priest's major domo, at your service," the Brit said as he inserted himself into the group. "Congratulations on your new position with Hellfire, and to those who are joining your court," he said as he nodded to Kate before taking a sip from the glass of cranberry juice he held in his hand. Graeme had given up drinking a long time ago, but he was not going to let himself miss out on the festivities. "May it be a glorious new day for all concerned."
As he stood among the group, Graeme watched as Michael spoke to Brian Williams. He prayed that conversation was going well. The Gray Court needed to solidify its own place in this new landscape, and securing Williams as a member of the court would make that much easier.

OOC: Mel is going away from the main group for a bit, but if anyone wants to follow, feel free Rose had been waiting for Jack to appear but she knew he'd been called away to hash out some last minute details regarding his position. It didn't bother her too much as she liked to make her own fun.
As she walked toward the group her link within her own family opened up and she noticed a blonde walking away from the group rather fast. The link became muffled but after a moment or two but anyone within the family carried a somewhat magical aura and she picked up on that.
"Well.....Hi there." Rose said to the blonde as she walked up to her.

Mel was getting rather good at turning her "switch" on and off so no one would think she was running off the rails. She really wished she didn't have to do it, but she felt she needed to use that crutch more and more often now. Grandma Siofra had drilled that into her brain until she could almost recite the talk word for word.
She turned around and looked at her Aunt Rose and smiled. "Grandma said you'd be here. Sorry I didn't come over sooner. I'm still getting used to people again," Mel said with a sigh of relief that it was not one of the Summers who was likely to haul her up by the bootstraps for not staying with the group. "I thought you would be with Captain Sparrow. Then again, I haven't seen him out here yet. I doubt he'd be out here, but you never know..."
Mel looked around to see exactly what was going on in the refugee camp. Everyone looked happy enough, but she could tell some people were a bit antsy about everything going on.
"Is it me, or does this seem weird? OK, maybe the weddings are private. But with the big announcement, wouldn't the folks out here be expected inside later to hear the Professor? Maybe I'm nuts, but that just makes sense to me."
