Sam had been up for a long time and had been trying to pick out something that made him look like a grown up for once. No Strokes T-shirt today. No grungy jeans caked in oil. Nope. Blue suit. Check. Clean white shirt. Check. Blue and white checked tie. Around his neck. Check. Blue suede shoes? Yup. Had to look fancy, so why not blue suede shoes? On his feet. Check. "Yup, I'm here," Sam said as he opened the flap of the tent to see Kitty and Lockheed there. "Wow! You look amazing!" he said as he stepped outside. "Bee's entertaining some of the kids while they get breakfast. You want to go get something to eat? Or did you eat already?" Sam could tell that dress was a gift from Emma. Kitty had great taste, but Emma had massive bank to pay for something like that dress. "I take it the dress is one of the perks of the new gig? You deserve it. I can't wait to hear all about it later. For now, can you do the spin thing?" he said as he twirled his finger around in a circle. "I sound like a dork. You can say it. I really do." "Stop being mister negative.. You are fine.. And yes Emma has a whole wardrobe of red dresses
as the new Red Queen.. I even have new uniform that I put together.. I am going full on pirate
Queen.. You know that sword that Kurt gave to me?. I am going to start carrying it.. It looks
great with the new look.. And no I have not so let's get us some breakfast Handsome!"
"Wait. Did you say pirate queen? As in you are getting a ship?" Sam asked as he looked at Kitty and Lockheed. "Is that why Captain Jack popped up last night? I know he has some shipping and boating company in the Florida Keys. Now this is starting to make sense. Sort of anyway," Sam added as he saw the line for food. "And you'd think none of us ate last night. I take that back. It's because the rest of Karenza's family showed up! Look at them over there."
Sam eyed the line again and thought a minute or two more about what Kitty had said. "You said Red Queen?" he whispered as some students walked by. "As in Hellfire Red Queen? How does one become a Hellfire member anyway? I always thought you had to have a bazillion bucks in the bank or had family that was in it back in the days when King George still controlled this country. I better bone up on this stuff fast. I am so happy for you. You are going to own this, Kitty."

"Thanks, Daken," Cair said as she scanned the area for Logan and Kari's son Duncan. "Oh geez," she muttered as she saw Duncan literally shoving his brother Colin into the area where Daken had motioned for everyone to join him. "Did you roll in with Clan Mac?"
"No," was the only thing Colin said as Duncan growled at him. "Sorry. I have a bit of a situation going on. I never should have come here in the first place."
Cair looked at Daken, and then to Laura, Shalimar and Blake. "Situation?" she asked as Duncan prodded his brother again. "What is going on?"
"I'll tell you later," Colin grunted as he went to get a cup of coffee.
"He won't tell me either," Duncan said as he nodded to Daken. "Maybe after the weddings, you and Dad and I can sit him down and have a chat? Until then, let's leave him to find the bottom of that cup and enjoy ourselves."
Colin wasn't even sure why the hell he showed up here in Atlantis. He didn't need his parents or his siblings to muck up his life any more than he already had, and he didn't want them getting knee-deep in more trouble than anyone should have to carry. Being here in all this merriment would likely drive him over the bloody edge.
"I'm fine," he mumbled as he poured himself a cup of coffee. His hands were unsteady, and the cup slipped from his grasp before he even got a sip of the brew. "Shite," he grumbled as the cup suddenly stopped and levitated back to the table. "Faith?" he asked his half-sister as she came over to the table.
"You made it out!" was all Faith could say as she ran over and grabbed Colin around the neck. "You're alive!"
"Whoa, what?" Cair asked as she stood betweenDaken and Laura.
"Bagalia," Colin said with a heavy sigh. "I was stuck in Bagalia. Faith knew because Great Grandma Siofra...was playing games with her. I'm so sorry, princess."
"No!" Cair said with a sharp tone. "Sorry. We'll gladly talk all things Black Faerie when we have finished celebrating. Colin, that's a promise."
"For Faith, too," Colin said as he reached out for Faith's hand. "And Finn. Pawns in some stupid game. They just wanted me because of my healing factor. The woman has no morals. Eats family and spits them out if they don't dance to her tune."
I did not know that Kari’s family had any connections to that place.. So please sit down and join
us.” Daken said as he sat down next to Reagan.. |

“Please sit down and enjoy this breakfast.” Laura said as she sat down and stuck her fork into
the pile of waffles to put some on her plate just as Gabby went for them at the same time..
Which made Sid laugh at the small tussle between the two sisters..

Axl was not the biggest fan of weddings, but this day was going to be more than just an excuse to wish the newlyweds well or a time to get his drink on. Today was going to be the start of a new future for the mutant world. That's what Mystique had led him to believe anyway, and he took her at her word. After putting on his best leather pants, a ruffled white shirt and his favorite black and gold brocade jacket, Axl prepared to wander out to get some coffee.
"Mystique, do you want me to bring you anything?" he turned and asked before preparing to exit her tent. "I can smell those waffles Bishop is famous for, and I'm betting they have an ocean's worth of coffee out there, too. I'm sure most of us could use it after that faerie wine last night. I want to be clear headed when Xavier makes his speech today."

Kari blinked a few times before she took her first sip of coffee. There was a part of her that half expected the day would get ruined as so many other events had been in the past, but this one had to be different. For the sake of the couples getting married today, it had to be. "Good morning, and thanks for the coffee, love," Kari said to Nathan as she saw some of the younger students studying the huge box that had arrived last night. "I know who sent that. My old friend Nick. Yes, that one," she said as she whistled a bit of "Jingle Bells" for Nathan. "It's for after the big announcement. He figured a holiday needed something festive, and since he can't join us, he sent that box. It's about his style." As she looked around the dome, Kari glanced toward one of the entrances and prayed her family would not show up too early or too late. "I am also praying my family does not try to gift anyone with one of those cauldrons they are all too famous for. They are supposed to bring good fortune, but the spells never seem to work out right. Ages ago we went to a wedding for one of Tony Stark's ancestors, and we were almost dispatched to the afterlife en masse when the wedding was overrun by demons. The invasion and the gift were not connected, but no one believed us. Now you know why he and I are like gun powder and a match on a good day! Even after this last mess at Camelot, I fear he will never trust me. He wasn't invited to this, was he?" "Not that I know but I did see Loki out there.. But he is probably here to say hi to Saber.." Cable said
as he slowly got dressed.. He wore a solid blue military style pants and a plane blue shirt to match his
pants.. Cable then put on his gun belt and checked his favorite particle pistol was charged..
"About Camelot and demons.. We have a lot of that coming up in the future.. The next stage for us is
going to be a big one.. Just remember Kari when I show up and take myself out you must go to Apocalypse
and tell him that his theory of mutant fusion and Hope is the key to resurrection and that mutants will conquer
death.. And I will be back.. Everything is moving like it should be." Kari listened quietly as Nathan spoke about what was to come, and it still felt like a damned gut punch every time they brought it up. As she put on the green dress she chose for the weddings, she thought back to their own wedding day and how it devolved into yet another X-Men event invaded by some lunatic fringe group looking to make a name for themselves. With any luck, today would be a far cry from that scenario.
She might have been away for what seemed like forever, but things had not changed all that much while she had been off screen, so to speak. Either she or Nathan always seemed to end up with the short of the stick more often than not. Maybe it was a Summers thing? Maybe it was some long-forgotten curse slapped on her family by a mage who felt wronged by her clan? Maybe it was fate or plain old bad luck?
Kari was getting more than tired of it. She also was not looking forward to any sort of solo meetings with En Sabah Nur. Nathan, Logan and Charles knew her history with Apocalypse went back to the Brotherhood of the Shield, but most of the X-Men likely didn't know much about that at all. Hell, there was a lot about Kari that most of the team had no clue about, and she was afraid those secrets were going to come tumbling out of the closet all too soon.
As she put on her emerald drop earrings, Kari looked at Nathan and smiled. "As much as the plan pains me, for obvious reasons, I have my part down, darling," she said as she put a final touch of lipstick on and turned to look at Nathan. "I'm just afraid things are going to get complicated as it all rolls along. I fear my grandmother is holed up in one of her safe houses, and if it is where I think it is, things may go south fast. I know you've heard of Bagalia. I know Logan has. I have a feeling I might be making a trip there soon to shut her down before she endangers anyone again. I didn't like being a pawn in her stupid game."
Kari stood up and crossed over to her husband, gently fixing the collar on his shirt before they went back outside. She wanted to ask him exactly when this was all going down, but she knew that might mess it all up, so she bit her lip and took a deep breath so she wouldn't cry. She knew Nathan would be back, but it was the time until he was back that scared her.

out in her dress..
“Wow!. You look like the Goddess that you are.. I am a lucky guy.” He said as he walked over and took
her into his arms and gave her a long kiss.. |

Bishop slipped back to his tent with Lazuli and got dressed for the celebration. He put on a red suit that Emma had bought for
him to wear. It was all apart of showing off his new position as Red Bishop of the Hellfire Trading Company. Kitty had asked Storm
but she had turned her down before Kitty went to him next. He also said no at first but Kitty was relentless about him being at her
side that he finally gave in and said yes. She said that she needed someone that she trusted at her side and that was what really
swayed him. It was going to be a big change and he was left out of most of the details even though he was sure that he had figured
it out.
Lucas turned around to see Lazuli in her dress was blown away. "The most beautiful sight I have seen in my life." He said to her with
a happy sigh.
to make a statement?” Gambit asked Bishop as he wore a nice black suit with Rouge in a green dress
that was a lot like Rachel’s but sleeveless with black gloves that went past the elbows.

wore a very expensive black suit that was a gift from Tony Stark.
“I am looking forward to this day.” He continued as both Dani and Rahne walked over and

Rahne wore a simple green sundress.. She gave Jordan and Roberto a hug and then looked around
to see if she saw Thom who she met yesterday and found herself smitten with him. It had been a
while that she had feelings for anyone since her relationship with Hrimhari the Wolf Prince of Asgard
and the father of her deceased son.. Something about Thom made her want to try love again even if
it scared her.

Illyana showed up next holding Mal’s hand.. She wore a very slick body forming back dress
with the silver dragon pendant with the red jewel placed on the left side of the dress..
“Why does Sam always run’s late?. I need to get at that breakfast table like now!” Magik said
as everyone could hear her stomach grumble.. She then gave everyone hugs..
“Tabitha and Amara are finding a place at the table for us..”

and him hurried over and joined the rest of the group.. He was excited as the brides for the
wedding were to him his family and he was a we bit emotional to see his ladies getting married..
It made him really miss Everett and Angelo a lot..

Crystal made sure that the new arrivals from Kari's family were situated when she heard few voices behind her which made her smile.
"Sister! Surely you are not too busy as queen to have breakfast with family right?" Her sister Sarah said walking up with Alex and Lorna's daughter Hanna. Sarah wore a black knee length dress with chocolate colored boots and a native American influenced necklace. A broach in her hair complete with a orange and white feather rested in her hair.
Crystal smiled hugging the two of them. "I am never too busy for family." She said as the three of them walked over to where a big portion of the Summers and Grey family sat coming up on Jean and Rachel first.
"Good morning Grandma Jean. Good morning Auntie. " Crystal said with a smile as the three of them found seats.
