She is also very good at archery and especially good as a mounted archer. Like her hair, her horse is pure white.
Personality: Ying is not always the most wonderful of companions. If Shakespeare had written The Taming of the Shrew set in China, she would have been the inspiration for the female lead. She can be bossy, and she usually does not listen to anyone until she is in some very bad or complex situation.
How she fits into the board: She is known to the MacLeod and the MacFeorais clans because she has worked as a mercenary and assassin in the past as well as a demon hunter. In the current era she is a friend of Sydney MacLeod and knows Hayley MacFeorais through business ties.
What she is doing in the 21st Century: Ying, usually based in San Francisco, is part owner of a restaurant run by another immortal named Lu Yan. She runs a local art gallery that features the works of other immortals including Hayley MacFeorais. She hunts demons, vampires and any otherwordly things she can get her hands on at the moment.
Bio: He Ying was born into a poor family in Sichuan province in China some time in the 1500s. To make money, her father used to make weapons for local mercenaries and assassins. She grew up hearing the stories these people (mostly men) told about the world outside her village. When she reached the age of 13 she left her family to embark on a life of adventure. She could not abide by the local custom of arranged marriage and did not want to be seen as a man's property. Ying followed one group of mercenaries out on a mission and proved her worth by killing several members of a competitor's bad of mercs. Her group's leader found her valuable because no one suspected the little girl with the sweet smile would gut them like a fish.
By the time she turned 18, Ying's hair turned snow white. The fact it turned at an early age caused locals to call her a witch and shun her. Instead of crying in a corner, she went to study with the mystics of her region and gained her nickname of the White Haired Witch of Sichuan Province as she roamed the countryside with her own band of mercenaries. She worked for many of the female generals of the Ming dynasty including Qin Liangyu, the commander-in-chief of Sichuan province.

Time passed for all but Ying it seemed, and she stayed a fixture in Chinese society for centuries until the advent of Communist rule. She did travel the world and worked as a demon hunter with a band of immortals that has, to her surprise, continued in existence until today. While still doing work as a demon hunter, Ying has turned her attention to furthering the cultural and artistic sides of her Chinese heritage.
In her only appearance on the board to date, Ying sort of shoehorned herself into the group that formed around Sydney and Hayley, and she almost attacked Alucard in a fit of rage after revelations he made to the group about Dante's past and his own deceased wife and children.
