Background on how she fits into the board: For a time Kari MacFeorais (before she remembered her actual past) worked for The Daily Bugle. She and Carrie became friends because Jamison would always call for the wrong one of them because their names sounded the same. They started working as a "unit" in the office to drive him nuts, with Robbie Robertson's tacit approval. The ladies kept up their friendship after Kari left for a more adventurous life.
For a time Carrie hung around with the X-Men while they were in San Francisco, but she eventually made her way back to New York when Kari and her family went on their big adventure.
