Kev & I spoke a few weeks ago about bringing back one of my old crew that had been tied to SHIELD's space/paranormal unit. He is very loosely based on Jack O'Neill from Stargate SG-1.
Jack is baseline human. He has extensive military training. He considers himself a friend of mutants and has hung around with Cable, Dragonfly, Wolverine and (I think) Deadpool.
PB is Richard Dean Anderson. I have to find his bio on the old board. This is one version I found, but it is not the complete one.

Yes, his team has had a successful movie and TV show down about them in the past, but they are trying to get past that. That's why he is retired now. This is his part of trying to get past things.
Jack has spent the last few years living on a small "farm" in Maine. The only thing that grows on his farm is weeds. He just got sick of everyone asking if he was "that guy" from SHIELD.
Jack has a very odd sense of humor, and very often he rubs people the wrong way.
