Fallon (Fantasme) and Brina (Rhapsody)--Children believed to have been fathered by O'Malley and Nathaniel Essex (Mister Sinister) after an accident where O'Malley died and Sinister took on part of his DNA as well as his appearance and memories. Once Sinister remembered his own past, he created a replacement for O'Malley that eventually went mad. Kari killed the replacement, partially in self-defense and partially to end ther man's suffering, thinking it was her husband. She only found out recently Sinister was also the girls' "father," but only because he augmented their DNA in the end. Kari had been pregnant before O'Malley was killed.

*Scott Summers, Jr. (from an alternate timeline where he was raised by Jean and Scott Summers after the deaths of his parents. Kari in that reality was the holder of the Phoenix Force and had passed it on to Scott Jr.)

*Ben Summers (from an alternate reality timeline where his mother was killed by hunters and he killed his father to save the world from infestation by the techno-virus)

*Citian Dayspring Summers--child Kari and Nathan believed they miscarried, but he was pulled into the future. Sacrificed his life to save that of his brother, Galen, in Dimension X. His memories became part of Galen, but his soul was reborn in a new body.

*Galen Michael Citian Summers--Oct. 13, 2001 (was aged by the Shadow King to 18 years of age, and has since aged to be approx. 22 by merging with the life force of his brother, Citian) Has a Silver Phoenix power signature.

*Scarlet Dayspring Summers--Twin of Citian Summers formed from his mental energy while he was in Dimension X.

*Liam Summers/Claymore (original code name was Orion)--born in Ben Summers' timeline after Ben and Michelle returned and altered the outcome of events in their timeline

*Dylan Summers (from the same timeline as Ben Summers--an alternate of Scott Summers, Jr. and Spike. Also born after Ben's first time travel experience)

*Moira Katherine Summers--February, 2002 (was born in a rip in reality. When she made it back here with her parents, she was 18 years old)

*Kennis Elisabeth and Ian Dayspring Summers--May 4, 2002 (when Kari, Nathan and Moira returned to this timeline, Kari was again pregnant. The twins have been aged to 15 years of age in keeping with the Askani prophecy regarding their birth)

*Annika Caroline Summers--given birth through mystic energy on an Earth that would become part of Khan's Dimension X.

*Cordelia Summers--given birth through mystic energy on an Earth that would become part of Khan's Dimension X. Was aged to 5 years of age to help in escaping from Dimension X.

Description: Kari MacOrish, a woman with reddish-brown hair and laughing green eyes, had alternately been described as the world's oldest rookie by Wolverine (a title she accepted with great honor because of who bestowed it on her) and the mutant most likely to mend a broken heart and to have a broken one herself by Beast.

Kari is stubborn, slightly depressed most of the time, a prolific writer and general jack-of-all-trades. She won't settle for less than perfection from herself and holds everyone else to an equally high standard, sometimes to the consternation of all involved. She also has the nasty trait of trying to make everyone happy, something that has led her into more trouble than she is willing to admit to. She does not suffer fools or disappointment gladly.

Her better qualities include a willingness to pitch in wherever and whenever needed, the ability to laugh at a good joke, and a keen ability to analyze a situation and take the best action possible. She loves any and all music, reading, writing, cooking, animals and everything to do with Christmas. She is a deeply spiritual person and can often be found on the Institute grounds meditating.


Bio: Kari MacOrish had what most in Westchester County would consider a normal existence. She was the only child of two retired Army officers but never traveled the world like most Army brats.

She attended private school, got good grades and generally tried to make the world happy. Kari went on to study English and journalism in college, later getting jobs on newspapers and in publishing companies.

Due to the death of her best friend Denise at the hands of Maeve Breslin Carey (Chaos Chylde) during their years in high school, Kari's powers did not manifest themselves completely until age 37. She always felt different, but she never knew why she didn't fit in. This feeling of loneliness caused her to go through major depressive episodes throughout early adulthood.

She had always had the abilities of empathy and precognition/premonition in limited quantities, but she always chalked these up to woman's intuition and a keen sense of people.

Her ability to transform matter did not manifest itself until she was in a car accident a year ago. Several of the X-Men happened upon the scene and were prepared to pull Kari out of a burning car when they saw her grab onto a wooden stick in the front seat and transform it into first a knife to cut the seat belt and then a crow bar to smash the window. After exiting the vehicle she dropped the crow bar and it returned to its original form. She then passed out from the stress! Quite an introduction! The X-Men took her to Salem Center for a full evaluation, and she has been there ever since.

Karenza's telepathy manifested itself on a mission in Genosha. It was on that mission that she first fell in love with Nathan Summers.

Kari awakened (in this era) as an External during a mission to New Fairland, Scotland. She was stabbed through the heart by Wolverine when he was possessed by Apocalypse and became his Horseman Death.

Since her relationship with Cable began, Kari has found she is the prophecied Askani Light, destined to be at the side of the Askani'son as his wife and protector. As a result her powers have increased steadily since the revelation.

Kari and Nathan miscarried a child shortly after their marriage do to injuries she sustained on a mission. Pandora, Tricitys evil half, de-aged Kari. Tricity was able to reverse the process, but the baby had already been lost by that point.

Kari sacrificed herself to stop the Sentinel Hive from launching an assault on North America. Before she died she was teleported to the fortress of the Dark Mother. There it was revealed that Kari had been alive since the days of King Arthur and had been married to a Druid knight named Galen Sun. She found out Nathan is the reincarnation of Galen Sun. Kari supposedly first learned of her immortality when she stabbed herself in the heart after Galens death at King Arthurs side. But this was a rouse--Galen knew all along that Kari was an immortal, and she stabbed herself this time out of frustration at Galen's death.

She was a pivotal person in the unification of pre-Christian and Christian Irelanda time when both faiths walked side by side. She is the possessor of four mystic weapons:

*The Spear of Lugh--a large silver blade with a green energy stone that never misses its mark when thrown. It has a life of its own and must be sedated in some manner when not in battle

*The Groaner--a large shield with a Celtic knotwork design in the center. It got its name because it wails or moans when in battle. It absorbs energy and can send it back at an attacker. It can also be used as a chakram

*The Unifier--two swords that were combined in the battle with the Dark Mother. One, The Morrigu's Justice, represents pre-Christian Ireland and holds the spiritual energy of the Morrigu, the three-person Celtic war goddess Macha, Badb (the crow) and Nemain (frenzy). The other is the Sword of Revelation, found in the then-small temple originally dedicated to St. Brigid in County Kildare.

These swords can be separated at will.

*Redemption--the sword given to her by the Morrigu on the astral plane during her fight with her own inner demons

*Armageddon--sword formed from the joining of the swords Heaven's Gate and Hellsmouth. These swords were carried by Kari's self in Dimension X. They can be separated at will.

*The Circle of Light--a chakram given to her by Cable on her 39th birthday (current era of her life). It is psychically connected with her and radiates the Askani Force.

*The Caladchlog--the sword of Fergus MacRoich. It was made in Annwyn and stretches to the length of the rainbow

* The GoddessBlade--the mother Witchblade that was originally in the arsenal of Cailleach

Since her past has been revealed, Kari has brought back the temple where she found the Sword of Revelation to Westchester. It is now an Askani temple where renegade members of the Dark Mothers sisterhood have taken up residence.

During a recent trip back to the time of King Arthur, Kari was touched by both the Phoenix and Sinnergy Forces, giving birth to a new force of pure cosmic light--the Askani Force.

It has been found that she and her twin, Branan, hold equal portions of the Askani Force in both light and dark forms and can call them up at will.
