“So kid you ready for this?” Cain said to Sammy as he waited for the red light to turn on and the hatch doors to open. He also looked
over at Suprema to see her floating in a meditated position like Jean and Cable do. Cain was proud of her as he knew how much she
struggled with her mental powers. “I am looking forward to fighting side by side with you. I have not seen what you are able to do or
the extent of your powers.” Juggernaut continued talking to his son Sammy.

Quoll tensed up in her seat when she heard Sage mention the railguns. Even with her healing factor, Dominique knew that she wouldn't be walking away if one of those things detected them and blasted them out of the sky. She didn't think that they would get blown to smithereens, but she thought about it. Even if she knew that there were enough flyers and telekinetics to get them out safely, she would still be concerned until her feet were on the ground. "Hopefully the plan works out," Dom said out out to Tessa's statement, "Today isn't the day I want to figure out if I can fly or not."(INSIDE THE ORCHIS SHUTTLE) “If I hear any railguns go off before we land I will port all of us out of here!” Eden said in response to Quoll. Then all of them heard Orchis
contacting the shuttle.{{Orchis station Saxon-Sun Delta to shuttle AB79. Send authorization codes!}}“Now we see if this plan is going to work or not!” Manifold said as his eyes had a gold glow to them. He was ready to get them all out of there
if it all went wrong.(INSIDE THE ORCHIS SHUTTLE) “Okay, Sage send the codes.” Cyclops said to Sage as he leaned to the side of his chair and looked back
at everyone at the back of the shuttle. “Time to get into character and we stay in character until it is
obvious that we have been made. Once we get to where the prisoners are being held we attack and I will
make the first move! Any questions?” Conveyed Cyclops just as Orchis responded to Sage sending the codes.{AB79 codes authenticated and cleared for landing! An escort will be waiting in the shuttle bay. The base is
on red alert.. We have a few mutants that escaped containment. So be on alert when you touch down.}“Thank you tower command.” Scott responded to the Orchis communication as he slid back into his chair and
began to fly the shuttle down to the hangar bay. “We are on strict orders to pick up the package and take it to
the bloom station two.” He said before ending the communication. |

“You heard the boss! Get into character!” Hope said to everyone in the shuttle as she made sure
her imager was back on. She also checked her Orchis rifle to make sure it was powered up and
ready to go even though she planned to scrap it and use her own weapons. Those first minutes
when things go off she was planning to let loose with it before moving on to her own gear..

Young Nathan did the exact same thing that Hope did and had the same plan of action in his
head as well. “May the light of the Phoenix be upon us this day! May she guide us and protect
us!” Kid Cable announced to everyone on the shuttle. Young Nathan was a bit nervous even
though he had done missions similar to this in his alternate future timeline a few times before.
He just did not want to let his father down in any shape or form.

“It has been a while since I have used any hardware.” Logan said to Cair as he checked his rifle.
“These are standard laser pulse rifles that A.I.M. uses! They do some serious damage but nothing
like the pulse rifles that Cable and Forge have in their armory! This will be useful until it’s not and
then it’s back to slicing and dicing! Let’s hope we get to the prisoners before we have to take any
kind of action.

(INSIDE THE MOBILE TRANSPORT)
Diana felt the Phoenix part of her as she meditated inside of one of the sentinel launching tubes. She felt everything that her twin
DireWolf was going through in the astral plane with Emma and Midnight. A part of her really wanted to join them but she had a job
here to do. She came out of her meditation and tried to focus her mind in the here and now. Suprema stood up and began to form
her armor around her body. She then created a sheath and sword that hung to her right hip. Diana then walked over and sat down
silently on the platform next to Juggernaut and Armur trying not to interrupt their conversation.

“I started this week thinking that it was going to be just another normal boring week and I found myself here. I needed this more than
I thought that I did. I am looking forward to seeing this island and making a new future with you Wade. I am looking forward to meeting
your girls. Is Ellie a mutant or too young to tell yet?” Vanessa said to Deadpool as they waited for the time to fly out of the transport when
the hatch doors too eject open.

the right button. “Everything is set and ready to go.” Sage said to Cyclops as they walked to the back of the shuttle as the hatch opened and
the platform dropped down into position. The rest of the X-Men went into a combat formation behind them. As Sage and Cyclops walked down
the platform together they could see a high ranking older man with gray hair and a beard walking towards them with a military escort of his own.
“Intelligence officer Robinson and my Commander Talbart.” Sage said as she introduced herself and Cyclops to the man. Everything was working
well as the man introduced himself as Colonel Blitzer and shook both of their hands. “I’m sorry about your mutant problem Colonel. I hope you find
your escaped mutants without any problems. Here is our Authorization for the COV pickup.” Sage handed the Colonel a tablet-like clipboard that he
began to look over. |

not a big fan of guns and did not like how it felt in his hands. He watched Hope and Kid Cable on how they held the rifle and how to move
with it as they followed Cyclops and Sage off the shuttle and into the hanger bay. Everything was casted in a deep hue of red from the lights
which made him feel a little bit uneasy. That uneasy feeling started to fade a bit when the conversation between Cyclops, Sage and Colonel
Blitzer was going well. |

“Cyclops and the others should be on the base by now. I hope all is going well on their end of things. Any moment now we will be in
the thick of it all. No spy games for us! All full throttle action and I would not have it any other way!” Quentin said as he looked around
the area at everyone before he returned his attention to the hatch door in front of him. Quentin just wanted the doors to open so he could
leap into action.

INSIDE THE ORCHIS SHUTTLE/INSIDE THE ORCHIS BASE
Kari took a deep breath as she stood there and watched the interaction between the Orchis group, Cyclops and Sage. Everyone was geared up, imagers on and in character, so things, for the moment anyway, seemed to be going well enough.
When Kari heard mention of the escaped mutants, a knot tightened in the pit of her stomach. Besides the one who had been in touch with Quentin, how many others were actually in this damned base? Having Eden here was a boon that she was grateful for, but she wondered how much healing was going to need to be done alongside the fighting they would inevitably need to do this day. And how many others were already Hounds thanks to Ahab?
Piper moved up to Kari's side but spoke not a word as they waited for the order to move. Kari knew how much Piper hated this, and she really would do all she could to get MacLeod back to her children and off to the life of her choosing. If not, Kari feared she would get a visit from Afton MacLeod who was likely watching this all from beyond the veil. Afton, the second oldest after half sister Prudence, would read her the riot act if things blew up for any of her sisters.

He tried not to show it, but Dante hated being in the shuttle. This might have been the first time the other X-Men were doing this sort of mission, but this was something he did several times before in travels across different timelines and different universes. Things might not have been the same as the others now that he was back home, but he was hoping that things didn't start to rhyme. As he sat on the shuttle, D's Flerken crawled out from inside of Dante's pocket and climbed up to his shoulder. "This isn't the place for an alien cat, even if you're an alien cat with a tentacle monster face," he said to the Flerken, who just shook her head no. "And I'm tired of talking to you without a name, so I'm giving you a name since your owner isn't here to do it." Dante sat for a second and then snapped his fingers on his techno-organic arm. "Your name is Tina now. Tina Marie. D can change your name if he feels like it, but given how much he loves Square Biz, I think we're good. And Tina, since you insist on staying, you better do your best to tentacle monster anything we point you at, got it?""Tina Marie? I like it," Sydney said to Dante before the order to get into character was given by command. She did give him one look that, at any other time, might have made him question what was going on now, but blowing away bigots and finding captured mutants was the order of the day. He also had D's flerken to tend to at the moment.
Unbeknownst to Dante, Piper, Ein or anyone else on this mission, Syd had been having a "back and forth" with Brigantia about what was about to happen. The goddess was pretty pissed she could not just let loose and fix this whole damned situation in one swift, reality-altering move. It probably was beyond her actual power set, but Briggie was not above trying to show off now and then.
Syd was equally as stubborn about doing things the way Cyclops wanted. She did not want to get anyone killed. She wanted to see if life on Krakoa was going to actually be an option, Dante included, or if she needed to find a little hut to live in on her own while Ein and Rose got the couples package deal of a lifetime in Mutant Paradise.
While the Orchis gun didn't bother her, Syd could see Piper was not loving it one bit. Syd put a weapons primer course for Piper on her "to do" list. A granddaughter of Malcolm MacLeod should have been better with weapons as far as Sydney was concerned.

Ewan nodded to Jessie as they both watched Cyclops and Sage essentially setting the table for the attack on the base. He held his rifle tightly as he waited for the command to move forward, and he hated the cat and mouse game that he now needed to be a part of as this played out. He would have preferred to move through the base as mist and make things easier for his family and teammates. But even he had to admit Orchis would be prepared for such a maneuver.
This was not the honeymoon he wanted to give Jessie, but, sadly, this had to be the play for the moment. The celebrations would come later. And he would not take a minute of those celebrations for granted. He would never take Jessie for granted.
