Cable was utterly shocked by Cailleach and could not speak at first.. His mind went to all the
memories of her and Stryfe and all the chaos they inflicted on their family.. Kari connected to
Nathan on a psychic level and both of their feelings merged and a deep understanding formed
between them.. Cailleach situation would be left up to Kari and Cable would follow her lead..
Cable leaned over and kissed his wife as he was happy to see her and it was clear that their
mental link was intact once again.. It was a big victory being inside of Faroak’s shadow dimension..
Both Karenza began fighting back to back when the spider began to move in on them..

Mister Sinister’s head was decapitated from his body as Kwannon swung her katana as she moved
in to save Saber from his dark shadow memory that held him captive..
“Come on Blue!.. It’s the Shadow King, you can beat this!” Psylocke shouted at him as she spun
around and sliced a shadow spider that leaped out at her..
Even though Kwannon had untangled herself from Betsy and was her own person again.. Kwannon
still shared a marriage and a child together.. She still cared deeply for him and he would always be
her family.. It angered her to see the Shadow King pray on his most vulnerable memory..

Kwannon’s voice rang in Saber’s head like a beacon of light leading him out of the
shadow trap.. Before he broke out of that mental prison he felt something in himself..
He still felt the link to Karenza and Cable the same way he felt with Jean and Scott..
There was something more going on with him that Sinister was still keeping from all of
them.. It was something that Saber would have to confront Essex with in the future..
“Thank you Kwannon!” Saber responded as huge cosmic blue fire wings formed out of his back
like Angel.. He used the wings like a weapon against the shadow spiders.. The cosmic fire
worked just as well as the magick weapons..

Alexander and his sister Natalie were fighting side by side trying to get to Cable and the others..
A light of energy came out of his chest a lot like his uncle Havok before he did his blasts.. The
light helped both of them to see through the darkness as they moved..
Major X had his adamantium katana sword out.. His guns had no effect in this shadow realm so
his sword was needed.. He slashed away at the shadow spiders that leaped out at them.. His sword
caused serious damage against the creatures but not as good as a mystic blade..
“How are you doing Natalie?” Alexander kept tabs on his sister as he plunged his sword through the
head of a spider..

{Outside on Muir Island}
Sentinels and the Hulked out soldiers made their approach to Armor and Ray through the hole
in the wall.. Suddenly multi explosions filled the area as an onslaught of charged cards came
sailing down the hill upon them.. Some of the sentinels were seriously damaged while minor
damage for the Hulked out soldiers..
“Bonjour.. Mes amies!. Gambit came to help!” Gambit spouted out as he landed in front of Hisako
and Ray as he spun around and sent more charged cards at the enemy that was rushing at them..

Rogue and Gambit were not alone as both Shatterstar and Kylun both came over the hill and
on top of the Hulked soldiers and sentinels..
Both enemies were a bit out of sorts because of Gambit 's constant attack that Kylun easily took
the head of a sentinel and slashed a Hulked out soldier at the same time..
{Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!}
Kylun unleashed a sonic scream that helped push them back while the rest of Excalibur began to
move in..

“I am going to have a bloody nightmare for days!” Pete shouted out as Dana and him stayed
on the hill fighting back the shadow spiders.. Wisdom covered the blade of the sword that Dana
gave him with flames as he fought the spiders.. The fire was more for his comfort than the damage
it did to the shadow spiders..
“My sword fighting skills are not as good as yours, Luv!” He spouted while Dana was moving the
sword around her like a pro.. He was struggling a bit but still holding his own..

Both Betsy and Captain Britain joined Althena for the push down the hill towards the others..
Betsy saw how different this Althena was to the one she had known but so was she when they
last fought together.. Betsy and Kwannon were now separate from one another..
“More things change the more they stay the same!” Betsy spouted to her as she smashed her
shield into a shadow spider and sliced another with her sword..

The ground beneath Rictor’s feet moved and shaped like Iceman’s ice bridge.. Rictor lifted up
into the air and sent boulders from inside the ground into the air a group of sentinels that were
heading for Dante and D.. It was becoming clear to him that he was getting way better with his
powers then he had before..
“It’s good to see you both again!” Rictor called out to them as he also sent a vibro blast out at
more sentinels..

Logan.. Cair and Seth fought as a team.. Both Cair and Seth were taking out the shadow spiders
more easily than Logan because of the mystic nature of the Witchblade.. All three of them had a
more difficult time with the sentinels..
“You're doing good son!” Wolverine shouted encouragement to his youngest son as they fought..
In his heart he felt sad that he was not to train his son like his mother was able too.. Logan was a
teacher to so many students but not his own kids.. And Seth had that sway to his movements like
his mother.. A style of movement that made their opponent struggle to pen them down in a fight..
It reminded him of Nightcrawler in a way..
The battle seemed to shift as everyone except for Hope’s team was now gathered in one area spread
out fighting a combo of Shadow Spiders.. Sentinels.. Orchis soldiers and Hulked out soldiers.. The giant
shadow dragon had transformed into a giant black sphere that hovered above the Muir facility..
Wolverine shifted his attack onto one of the Hulked out soldiers.. He leaped onto the back of one and began
savagely stabbing it in the head with his claws..

shut down!. Gabby and Laura I need you both to stand guard at the opening and make sure
no surprised attacks come our way!.. Everyone else we hold here until Ghost is back on his feet!..

“Already on it!” Gabby spouted back as she took position at the opening that Jean had ripped
open at the open hallway from the hanger to the rest of the carrier.. A huge twisted metal that
was part of the door was laid out perfectly for both Gabby and Laura to use as cover.. The fun
playful Gabby had shifted to her trained soldier/ assassin self.. The part of her that was trained
from an infant to be a weapon for Alchemax a subgroup of Weapon Plus.. Gabby had her rifle
resting on a groove in the metal door that was their cover.. Her left eye watching from the gun's
scope for any movement in the hall..

“Rhiannon is healing you.. You're going to be okay my friend..” Laura said to Ghost as she also
gave Rhiannon a friendly pat on the back before heading out to join Gabby.. On her way she also
picked up a rifle and took a moment to grab a fresh clip before joining her younger sister..
“Smoke and chemicals make it hard to catch a scent so we are going to have to use our other senses!”
Laura said as she began to find a spot for her and her rifle..

{Inside The Muir Island Facility}
Hope kicked the door down using Namor’s strength and stamina and led the way inside of the
facility.. She opened fire with two pulse pistols in each hand shooting at the Orchis soldiers and
the man sized sentinels inside.. The rest of her team were now engaged in combat from inside
the Facility.. She tried to psychically connect to her parents.. Cable and Karenza in their mental
link but she was blocked and that really made her concerned..

For a long time Kevin MacTaggart had been stuck inside of a containment box suspended.. When
his mutant powers began to emerge when he hit puberty he became an instant threat as his powers
made him an energy vampire of sorts.. He was an energy form that would need a host body just to
function in this physical reality.. The physical body could only last a few days before it would be consumed
by the energy state that was him.. Kevin’s mind was unstable and he killed many people just to survive..
It had brought him in battles with the X-Men which had brought him to be put into the containment box by
his mother Moira MacTaggart..
In the box he waited for many years for his mother to find a cure or any solution for him to be alive in the
world again.. The only contact he had with the outside world was when his half brother Jason the mutant also
known as Hollywood came to visit.. They would connect telepathically and talk and see the world from Jason’s
mind.. He learned about his mothers death and the promise that Beast would continue the research for him to be
free from the box.. Then time had passed and he heard nothing from his brother or the X-Men.. Kevin felt trapped
in oblivion until now..
A blast hit the box and the system opened up and Kevin was free.. He saw a soldier that was guarding the box and
knew something was wrong.. Proteus merged into the soldier killing him instantly.. The soldier's body transformed
into a physical energy form..
“What’s going on here!” He shouted out in confusion.. His voice sounded like a deep vibration that shot out into the
facility..
