exactly why he followed X-Force and decided to join them on this mission. He was very reluctant to join the team or to be a part of the nation of
Krakoa. What he did know was that Dragonfly and Hollywood were like brothers to him and he wanted to work with them again.
Maverick listened to the conversation of what was going on and the plan as he walked into the armory. He made sure that he had everything that he
needed and some surprises that he found. It was a really nice armory with weapons that he had never seen before. Tech that he saw both Conor and
Jason use. If he stays he would have them help him with these upgrades.
“So Jay hit me up on who Ahab and this ship?” Maverick said to Hollywood when he walked out of the armory. He listened to Hollywood as he gave a
quick history.

Dragonfly pulled out what looked like an envelope and handed it to Maverick..
“You're my friend and a brother to me.. I also know that you are not the same person I remember the
last time we were in the same room together.. Being in X-Corp black ops and watching the field you have
been on my radar a lot.. I am not judging. I understand you have been through a lot.. I need to make sure
that you are loyal to Krakoa and to X-Force.. So I am hoping what is in that envelope will do just that..” Conor
said as David took the envelope and pulled out what appeared to be a check..
“I have financial authority for X-Force granted by X-Corp.. If you accept that amount of payment you will receive
further payment straight to your account every two weeks on Friday.. You will be employed by the government of
Krakoa..”
“I think all of us have changed over the years except for Creed who will always be the same. When I knew you I would never think you would follow Logan
onto the X-Men. I also never thought you would ever get married. All of it is very messy for the Connor that I knew back in the day. So here we are!” North
said as he looked over the check again.
“That is a lot of zeros and I am beyond flattered that you think I am worth this amount. They say everyone has a price. This is double that so yes I am under
your employment.”
