“I am so glad brother you're here leading this!” Havok called out to Cyclops as he got a good look at the Hover Carrier as they climbed up the sky towards
the clouds. He hung on tight to the bigger scales of the dragon as the wind began to beat down on him with the speed of the dragon
“Just give me the order and I will start blasting the areas of the rail-guns or missile launchers!” Alex said with concern.

“Your fighting skills are very impressive!” Kylun called out to Shatterstar as the both fought very
well together.. Both of them being seasoned warriors they were able to read each other's movements
and became a force on the battlefield.. Their swords hacking away at the sentinels with Kylun also
unleashing sonic blasts with him screaming out at them..
Like everywhere on the island the ground shook as Faroak’s giant spiders exploded out of the earth and
began to attack..
(Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!)
Kylun unleashed another massive sonic blast wiping out the first spiders that attacked both Shatterstar and
himself.. He then continued his attack as he slashed at the spiders that were in front of him.. The spiders
screamed out and turned to dust with every slash of his swords.. The same thing with Shatterstar..
“Our swords are forged by magick!.. It must be a weakness that can be exploited!” Kylun called out to Shatterstar..
instantly the blades touched them. They were turned into dust.
“We need to make our way to Betsy and the others! All of us with our mystic weapons and powers can turn the tide of the battle!” |

“Take a pass from the west end and dive into the next cloud cover!.. Havok we will take out as many
rail guns as we can during the pass.. Sarah I need you to deliver Juggernaut through the opening that
Suprema and both of you aid her and everyone inside the carrier.. After that we make another pass, this
time Ghost you will phase us and we will head straight into the hangar where we board the carrier!.. Merlin
after you deliver your team I need you to go help everyone below!” Commanded Cyclops..
The dragon came shooting out of the clouds and both Havok and Cyclops began to blast the railguns as they
opened fire upon them.. |

“Okay Babe let’s do this!” Cain spouted out as both Sarah and him dived off the dragon and she
flew them down and then up into the hole that Suprema made..
“Back up has arrived!” Shouted Juggernaut as Sarah dropped him to the ground.. His wife flew into
one of the man sized sentinels and began to beat it down.. They made it just in time as Suprema was
surrounded by the sentinels..
“You're all in trouble now!” Shouted Cain as he charged into the battle and the three of them were locked
in a big battle with the sentinels..

Forge was frustrated, stuck in a room where he sat in a chair not able to move. Cassandra Nova had done something to his mind that kept him from
doing anything. It felt like someone's hand was holding his brain. He closed his eyes and screamed out for any telepath that could hear him. He knew
the X-Men were attacking the carrier with the alarms sounding off and the light turned red. Forge’s room shook hard and he could smell smoke.
Suddenly his door exploded open and he saw Jean and Storm enter the room. Forge was completely surprised to see Jean alive as well as Vulcan at the door.
He felt Jean slide into his mind fighting the hand that had a hold of his brain. It was painful but Jean freed him as he fell into Storm’s arms.
“It is so good to see all of you! It is good to see you alive Jean!”

“Not to be rude we need to cool it with the chit chat!” Vulcan shouted as he sent a blast down the hall at Orchis troops who were starting to shoot
back at him.
“We have soldiers down the hall to the right! We need to get to Suprema and Juggernaut soon! I can hear them fight so they are not very far!” Gabriel
informed the group.

Pete screamed out in fear when the giant spiders with Farouk’s face on them came out of the
ground.. He was in utter horror..
“Bloody Hell!.. Spiders!!.. Why did it have to be spiders!!” Pete yelled to Dana as she understood
as she was there when he almost burned down the Excalibur Lighthouse when a spider ran across
the kitchen table.. Everyone had a good laugh at it when Meggan put the fire out but Nightcrawler..
Dana and Pete lost their breakfast and half the kitchen that morning.. Meggan quickly fixed it up with
a repair spell..
Wisdom just started throwing Hot-Knives everywhere around Dana and him to try and keep them back..
But he was shaken by the creatures.. That the spiders had human faces creeped him out even more.. Dana wanted to rip the Shadow King's stupid face off for sending these damned spiders. Guns were useless against them, and Pete's hot knives were not proving to be of much help either. "Oh bloody..." she muttered as she did the one thing she always swore she would never do: she went for the magicks that usually eluded her grasp. "Where is that stupid, idiotic...there you are!"
If anyone else were paying close attention to Dana, they would have thought she'd lost it entirely. She was ripping into pocket after pocket on her jacket until she found a very small dagger.
No. It looked more like a letter opener at the moment.
No. Make that a nail file.
"Adaryn better not have given me the bloody booby prize with this thing!" Dana screamed as she passed her right hand over the blade, and it suddenly grew into a long sword. "I hate these stupid spiders!" she screamed as she sank the sword into the spiders closest to Pete. "Thank Heaven! It is working! Pete, take this thing! Adaryn gave me two!"
As Pete grasped his new sword, Dana dug for the other tiny blade that had been a gift from her sister Adaryn. "I've got it!" she said as she released that blade as well, and she and Pete went after the spiders. "I'm going to make sure you keep that thing on you at all times, love. It looks like we are all going to need a bit of magick going forward!

Kari just glared at Cailleach until she felt the Askani crow sent by Nathan enter her body, and then felt it enter her doppelganger as well. Then Kari saw Hayley in the middle of some fugue state in the distance. "Go help her! I need to get to Nathan!"
"Why in the name of the Goddess should I help her? She hates me for what I did to Vampy Lover Boy in London," Cailleach asked before Kari's eyes turned a fiery green and the doppelganger felt herself pushed back into the darkness.
"Because if you don't, I will make sure you never leave this pitch, do you understand? I am the only reason you have not had your head ripped off!"
"You have a point," Cailleach growled as Karenza ran off to Cable's side, swinging her sword at the spiders as she made her way forward.
"Nathan! I'll explain about my hitchhiker later," Kari said as she made it to Everly's side. "Quentin, what do you need me to do to help? Besides ripping Farouk's soul to shreds later. That would be my genuine pleasure."
Kari felt her breath hitch for a moment as she felt pain radiating all over this bloody battlefield. She glanced toward where Saber was, and she felt her own mind snap to things from the past that she dared not bring to the fore now. Nathaniel Essex had lied to everyone about so much, and to the Summers and MacFeorais families most of all. He was also at the top of her list for revenge one day, after the Shadow King and Cassandra Nova.

Rogue flew above the battle with Gambit in her arms. She saw a large number of the man sized sentinels heading for Brian Braddock and Meggan. So she
flew down low in what both Rogue and Gambit called a battle run. A fighting technique they created together over the years as X-Men. It was an offshoot
of a version of a fastball special that she did with Colossus.
As they came in low Gambit charged a bunch of cards that were placed between his fingers. He tossed the cards one at a time but very quickly at the sentinels
that were in a direct path in front of them. The front of the fleet of sentinels disappeared in the multi explosions that lit up the area. Rogue released Gambit from
her arms as he fell into a roll and landed beside Meggan and Brian as she sailed into the explosion. It was not long before her fist sunk into a sentinel when she
made first contact. Rogue did not hold back as she slugged away at the machines.
Gambit activated his battle staff as the sentinels came at them like a crazy train off the tracks..
Gambit was able to throw more charged cards at the sentinels causing more explosions.. Gambit
moved and evaded the attack and used his staff to defend himself as he used his gymnastic skills
flipping over and sometimes under the killing machines.. He grabbed a sentinel by the arm and
charged it up..
“Fire in the hole!” Gambit yelled as he leaped up and kicked off of another sentinel and launched himself
into a flip just as the whole area exploded..
As he landed on the ground it began to shake as giant spiders with Faroak’s face came out of the ground..
sent the creature flying into the air.
More came out of the ground as she landed beside Gambit and slugged another and then another as it was now a full fledged battle with the spiders and the sentinels. |

“Merlin?” Betsy repeated her brother's words as she looked up and saw both dragons heading up into the sky. She did see a glimpse of him. She smiled
as she was so happy to see him again and not the dark version of him that replaced him in Otherworld. She hoped he would stay and aid Excalibur in the
future.
“Brian that is a bloody miracle!” Betsy said as she hurried over to her brother, Meggan and Gambit. She stood with her shield up before her and her sword
to her side. The sentinels would be coming out of the fire and smoke at any moment.
“We need our Merlin to ascend to his kingdom that was stolen from him!” Before she could say anything else the man sized sentinels came through the flames
right at them. Betsy dived into battle using her shield to block and follow through with her sword just like her father taught both her and Brian when they were
kids.
“Right now no holding back daughter!” Betsy, Brian and Sharia were all fighting together as a team. As they fought suddenly her link to her husband Saber had
suddenly stopped.
(Sharia I just lost my link to your father!) Betsy telepathically said to Sharia in hopes she still had a link with him. |

Althena didn't lie when she said she was going to join Excalibur even if it meant that she was going to force herself on the team. So when they traveled to Muir, so did she. She didn't even bother to change her clothes, so it was a strange sight when she came crashing down out of the sky wielding what looked like a Gaelic spear with two small Sentinel's impaled on it, landing on top of and stabbing one of the shadow spiders that emerged from the ground.
Marcela picked herself up from the crater she just made and immediately reacted to a hail of gunfire in her direction by causing her spear to take the shape of a ballistic shield, protecting herself from the gunfire of the Orchis soldiers. This was the first time Marcela had been in a fight since she was a kid in school, but you wouldn't have believed her if she said that. Her past life as a Dora Milaje was making sure that she reacted and fought like someone who'd seen a lifetime of combat, and she proved it as she rushed toward the ORCHIS soldiers, dispatching them in short order.
As the Althena that the X-Men remembered, she would've dealt with these soldiers with energy blasts and other assorted magic, but now, it was kind of scary with how different she was. With the soldiers now on the ground, she was quickly attacked by two more Sentinels, one sending her flying back from several energy blasts. She survived the attack thanks to her telekinesis, but it still hurt. "Maybe I should've changed clothes," she muttered to herself as she looked at her feet and saw that her Nikes were dirty. Her shield then took the shape of Captain America's and using her TK to boost her strength, she tossed it through the two Sentinel's before summoning it back to her hand, where it took the shape of a large battle axe before it returned to her hand.

If there was one thing D appreciated about working with the Guardians of the Galaxy, it was that the attacks usually came from one direction. They never dropped in a middle of a circle with everyone firing at them from all sides like what always happened with the X-Men. The two of them got split up from both Hayley and Sydney, but they could see Sydney from a distance. D was mostly fighting off the soldiers barehanded, Dante just seemed to be standing around, soaking everything in. "Are you going to hit something?" D asked as he stepped back to dodge a knife strike to the face. He quickly disarmed the soldier, slammed him to the ground, and threw the knife with all of his strength into the face of one of the larger Sentinels. Before he got a response from Dante, three man sized Sentinel's opened fire on their position as they flew toward them, knocking them both to the ground. D's flerken escaped from his jacket in the process and started running toward one of the Sentinel's. "No!" He yelled toward the kitten, "Spit first! Spit!" With a meow, the kitten jumped into the air and let out a cough, launching D's short sword flying through the air toward him, which he caught as he got back up to his feet. "This is not the one I wanted!" D didn't even react as the Flerken's face opened up like something out a Predator movie, launching out giant tentacles that grabbed the nearest Sentinel to it before crushing it and swallowing it whole. |

"Okay, I have a lot of questions!" Dante shouted as he picked himself up after just watching D's Flerken eat a Sentinel. Countless spins around the multiverse, and he was certain that this was the first time he'd seen anything like that. Though in all of the universes and timelines he'd visited, most of it centered around Earth and not space, there was probably a lot he still hadn't seen.
"Questions can wait later, hit something!" D immediately replied, but Dante shook his head.
"No, this is too familiar!" As he looked around, Dante focused on the weird spiders that looked like the Shadow King, the man sized Sentinels, and then the fact that they were on Muir Island itself, and then it clicked and he spun around to see Sydney off near Captain Britain. He couldn't see Hayley, but Sydney seemed fine for now. But his time in the multiverse had him worried since all of this looked like something he'd seen before.
"Familiar like what?"
"That all depends on whether or not anyone's seen Ahab or not." Thanks to his techno-organic arm, Dante was able to get the same information of the battlefield as Cable had since his arm did belong to a different version of Cable in the timestream. He had a feeling that things could still work out fine even given what happened to Karima, but he didn't want to think about what would happen if he saw any signs of Hounds.
