“Good to see you kid!” Cable said to Hope when she arrived with Ray.. Karenza gave Ray a quick
telepathic overview of what was going on as he looked across at his sister and the army of sentinels
around her..
{This is going to be tricky!.. They used Forge’s information to get into the Muir facility.. Jackson we
are going to find your father and Ray’s sister back.. Both Kari and I felt it.. Nothing left of Karima in
Omega Sentinel.. We need to focus on getting into that facility.. All the options I have right now are
the hard push so if anyone has any other ideas.. Now is the time..}

and get in another way.} Major X said in the telepathic link that Cable and Karenza had created
with everyone..
He tried to do some scans of the facility but he was still being jammed..
{Orchis has everything blocked.. I can not get a scan of anything and that stops us from bodyslide

way in for you.. If you agree then I will contact Namor and bodyslide him in position.. You know

Meanwhile on the other side of the island..
{Hold on tight everyone I am calling for reinforcements.} Jean telepathically reached out to
everyone..
“Vulcan, I need you to cover me!” Spouted Jean as she landed on the ground and pulled off the
satchel that she brought with her from Krakoa.. She pulled out a Krakoan gate plant and a small
bottle of water from the satchel.. With her telekinesis she dug a whole in the ground and planted
the gate.. It only took a little bit of water and the gate formed instantly.. Jean sent out an emergency
telepathic signal out to certain mutants to come and help..
{Now we wait to see who answers my call!} Jean again connected to everyone on Muir..

Cain was dancing with his wife close to the fire pit.. He was having a good time celebrating
Krakoa when he heard Jean contacting him in his head..
“Sarah!. Jean and the others need us!.. Follow me!” Cain ran for the closest gate he could
see and for it.. As he ran he transformed into his Juggernaut form just before going through
the gate..
Juggernaut leaped out the gate with Sarah behind him.. The first thing he saw was Vulcan
blasting a sentinel and saw another about to attack him from the side.. So Juggernaut leaped
into the air and crashed his fist into the sentinels head in the air..

Juggernaut was not the only one dancing back at the fire pit.. Nezhno was dancing with Trinary
when they both felt Jean’s call..
“I never seen sentinels like the one Jean just showed us!” Nezhno said to Trinary as their clothes
transformed into their uniforms just as they went through the gate together..
Once he came out of the gate he grew to the same size as one of the giant sentinels and tackled one..
The whole island shook when they crashed to the ground.. Gentle began to slug away at the killing machine..

Gabriel was behind Jean as he sent more of a blast down on these new sentinels that were trying to ambush Havok and the others.
“We got this Jean! We are the superior force!” He declared as he landed on the ground next to her and ready himself for battle. Both Jean and him had to push back the
sentinels so Havok and the other could get over the hill.
She shot her hand out as an animalistic roar could be heard coming from the woman as she did this fire hit the ground in front of Vulcan.
Elda who was still in the air tried to reach out feeling this woman wasn't a sentinel. ("Please we are not here to hurt you. You have been brainwashed....Let me.") As she tried to help break through the programming she grabbed her head in pain as Firechild felt some sort of psionic mental block hit her back. ."You are not welcome in my head...." Nightmare responded.
she reached out her mind and tried to connect to the sentinels with her power.. Suddenly both her
and Jean fell down when the ground beneath them shook hard when Gentle and the sentinel he had
tackled crashed down onto the ground..
Both women got back up as Vulcan engaged the cyborg Nightmare.. Jean connected Trinary to the
message from Elda..
“I can try and do my best!” Trinary shouted as she used her powers to connect to Nightmare and begin
the process of trying to free her.. |

("I'm afraid I cannot let you do that.") A robotic but feminine sounding voice echoed as NIGHTMARE appeared in the sky wrapped in fire.

High above Muir Island an old SHIELD hover carrier now upgraded to Orchis technology hovered above the island. Inside of a cell was Forge laying in his bunk
frustrated with his situation. Today was one of the few days he was in his full mind. For days he had been in a daze controlled by Cassandra Nova on Ahab’s ship.
He did not even know how he got the hover carrier. All he had was the hope that the X-Men would find him and rescue him from this hell.

on the smaller sentinels that were coming for him and the others. His blast only took out a few of them as many more pushed forward.
“I can not hold them back by myself!” Gabriel shouted as he pushed harder with a bigger stream of plasma fire that did more damage to the sentinel army.

Ray was in complete shock when Hope ran over to him and grabbed him away from his friends. He didn't even get a chance to think about what she yelled to him before the two of them teleported away. And when they came to their destination, he stood, looking around confused before it finally kicked in as he stared at his sister. Ray's eyes darted from Cable to Karenza, then he looked at the Sentinels, and then back to his sister as she held a rifle at their teammates.
"Naomi?" He said to her just as the shockwaves echoed as the Juggernaut appeared and started to rip through some Sentinels. When she didn't respond, he tried to talk to her telepathically, but got nothing but feedback, like her brain wasn't turned on or was being blocked by something? "Naomi!" Even with all of the information Hope provided to him, it was still taking awhile for him to process it all. He started to walk toward his sister, but she quickly fired on him, and he just barely got a TK shield up in time to block most of the shots, but he was struck in the arm and fell backward.
Instinctively, he shot an energy blast toward the gun to knock it out of Naomi's hands, but that just made her charge at him head on.

With her enhanced speed, it didn't take too long for her to reach Ray and try to take his head off with a punch, and it was only by luck that he managed to dodge. She quickly followed up with rapid punches and kicks, which Ray managed to block with his forearms and quick TK pushes to avoid getting hit. Thanks to her cybernetics, Naomi was stronger and faster than he was physically, so he had to think quick on his feet in order to not get hurt. But he retired, and it'd been awhile since he'd been in an actual fight, so she was able to score a knee strike to his chest that took him to the ground. "Naomi! Stop!" Ray shouted to her as he just barely got out of the way of her boot coming down and watched as her foot smashed the floor where he was.
"My designation is Dominique I, Raiden of the X-Men," Naomi replied, her voice sounding almost robotic"There is no Naomi here. And if she were, she's going to die along with you." Naomi went on to attack her brother once again as he struggled to keep up, trying to avoid getting hurt as much as possible. He'd been down this road before, and he was trying his hardest to not hurt his sister.

{{Elda, Trinary is that girl's best hope. Protect her at all costs}} Karenza said in her link to the Asgardian emissary as the full weight of what was going on hit her. Forge had been compromised, and his information, along with the intel provided by Omega Sentinel, likely led to Naomi falling into Orchis' clutches. It brought them to this stupid hunk of craggy Scottish ground and put everyone in harm's way once more. And once they saw the gateway, everyone was going to be screwed. Again.

Those two sentences started to form a mantra in Kari's mind as she looked at Hope as she stood near Jackson, and everyone could tell Kari was starting to lose it as she feared the Orchis crew would storm the gate and get to Krakoa. They had eyes on everyone, and a distraction was needed so Hope could set her plan in motion.

Kari's eyes turned back in her head, and slowly the Askani Phoenix formed around her as she became airborne. It had been a very long time indeed since the double-headed eagle and raven came out to play, and while she was sure Orchis expected such a show, this next bit was likely something they would not see coming. {{Everyone, watch your backs!}} she shouted telepathically in the team link as a portal formed overhead and two large dragons emerged. The riders on the mounts were familiar to those who had been around the X-Men for years. One was Merlin the White. The other was Kari's cousin Rhiannon DalCais.
Kari could tell by looking at Rhiannon that the girl who had fed wedding cake and Champagne to a dragon on top of the UK Parliament's Westminster was a bit darker and more hardened than the last time they had been together. And Merlin? Well, he was always a constant, and this time he was pissed.
"So, these mechanical madmen are back at it?" Merlin said as he twirled his casting staff and set one of the smaller Sentinels alight. "It never changes with you lot, does it?" |
