Suddenly Saber hit the side of the cockpit hard as the helicopter was stuck in a giant
spider wed.. “It’s the Shadow King!” Saber shouted out to Psylocke as he looked out and
saw the Shadow King with a spider like body heading their way.. Saber reached back and
grabbed the handle of his sword and suddenly everything went black..
Saber felt his body restricted and covered and he began to struggle.. His arms broke free
and he grabbed what was covering his face and ripped it off.. After his face was free he
saw that he was covered in a web cocoon.. Second was that he was inside a room covered in
this webbing and webs.. It took Saber a few minutes to notice that the room was the vault
and that he was back in his real body..

Rachel broke free and ripped the webbing over her face.. She looked around and saw her brother Saber
and then Psylocke busted out of a cocoon.. Rachel pulled the cocoon next to her closer and pulled off the
webbing the face to see that is was someone she thought that she would never see again.. “Karenza!” She
spouted out in shock… “Karenza is alive!” Rachel tried to remember how it had happen but the memory kept
changing.. “Damn you Farouk!!” Rachel shouted out in anger knowing their minds were messed with and that
Karenza and the others had been taken..

The vault door flew open as it ripped it’s self from the webbing that covered the whole inside of
the vault.. It looked like snow at first glance.. “Kari!?” He said in shock and deep emotion.. He
couldn’t move as his body went completely numb and he found himself in the moment.. An aware
meditated state of mind.. He could taste the essence of both the Shadow King and Cassandra Nova
within the energy in the vault.. He floated in the air in a drift over to Rachel and Karenza.. Cable swept
her up into his arms and just held her.. (Is this real?) He thought to himself as he stared at her.. Different
memories of what happen to Karenza began to play in his head.. Each one different then the other.. A
powerful telepathic spell that played in his head.. “Shadow King and Cassandra did this?” He pushed the
fake memories from his mind and focused on her.. Cable's heart began to beat faster as his mind connected
to hers.. It was real.. It was really his wife.. He wiped the tears from his face with his gloved hand.. Cable
was still dazed and overwhelmed..

Elda found herself cocooned in a restricted position and after a few moments of struggling she found herself loose as she fell towards the ground for a moment before catching herself she floated gently to the ground. "This feels so strange." She said looking around at those assembled before two unknown women caught her attention. One she assumed was Rachel but the other seemed unknown to her although she felt a connection to her as well although very distant.

Deep in Karenza's mind, nothing seemed right. Everything looked like a scene from a bad copy of a Tarantino film.
{{What in the name of the Morrigan is going on?}} Kari thought as she sat on horseback in the Curragh in County Kildare, Ireland. The area around the lake suddenly turned a deep scarlet and then flooded with what could only be called screaming purple flames as faces that had been no more than ghosts for ages swam past her.
She had lost touch with the X-Men ages ago when Hope Summers first came into the timeline. No, that was the second Hope Summers. The first was a child she and Nathan would have in the future who found her way to their time, but she vanished one day with no warning and little thought by most. Was she a dream? A demon sent to destroy the X-Men? A small part of a soul that never should have been?
{{Can't think about that. What is this fire all about?}} she mused as the horse vaporized into thin air, leaving the redhead to crash to the ground.
{{Mom! Snap out of it! Now! Before that thing gets us!}} a voice rang in Kari's head as blood started to run from her nose. She turned to see where the voice was coming from, and all she caught sight of was a deep claret cape. The scarlet hue made sense now, if not the purple fire. Citian's twin sister Scarlett. Lost in time and to her own demons. Kari had not seen her in ages.
{{No, no, no!}} Kari kept screaming in her own mind as the fire got closer to her. She kept seeing Nathan and then Rachel, but she had seen them a hundred thousand times before, and they had never been real.
{{Mom, I really hate spiders!}} Scarlett screamed in Kari's mind as a streamer of blood red ribbon turned into a river of spiders that started to cover her in webbing. But then the spiders started to catch fire as the purple flames touched them.
{{Betsy? Saber?}} Kari mused as the purple reminded her of Psylocke's power signature, but how could that be? Not there. Not then.
{{Wake up! Now!}} a final voice, that of the goddess Morrigan, screamed in Karenza's mind as she went to reach for her sword and felt nothing at her side. Then she winced before realizing what she thought was going on.
"Nathan, the last thing I remember was going off to war with my family. What in the name of the Goddess has happened this time?" she asked as she tried to get up. She was still unsure of where she was, and a part of her felt this was likely yet another ruse by some unseen combatant pulling the strings of yet another battle. It could have been yet another alternate reality, and she did not know if she could handle that yet another time.

Betsy peeled the webbing from her face and body and started to remember. The fight with the Shadow King
had caused her physical body to be pulled in and locked into the battle. Some woman under Amahl’s control
ripped her body apart and tossed it outside the astral plane. With Saber’s help they used the energy of the
astral plane and his Sinnergy Phoenix to recreate a new body that was back to Betsy’s original British body.
“Blue!” Psylocke said as her husband wrapped his arms around her. “Both Amahl and Cassandra scrambled
our bloody minds!” She said as she looked over and saw Cable with Karenza. “Kari!” Betsy said out loud as
both Saber and her crawled across the floor to get over to them. “I remember we found you is the astral plane!
Amahl had you and other in cocoons!” She said as she looked at the other cocoons. “I know Kari I look different.
It’s been a bloody long time since I have been in my original body. Today is a day of miracles.”

Cable connected Karenza telepathically reawaken their mental link.. As their minds connected they
both knew that this was real.. They both saw fragmented memories from both sides to understand
the broad stroke of what the Shadow King and Cassandra had done.. Cable did not hold back any of
his memories.. “So much time was stolen from us.. A part of me is angry but most of all I just feel
really blessed that this is real.. That your real..” Nathan Summers then gently kissed her as he held
up his hand to motion for Psylocke and Saber that they needed a moment.. “I don’t understand what
the Shadow King and Cassandra has all done but I am sure in days to come we will learn more.. For
now my heart is filled with joy that this is real.. Nathan could not hide the tears forming as he was
overwhelmed with his emotions..

Saber wrapped his arms around Psylocke and kissed the side of her cheek.. “I don’t care what
body your in I loved you and I am happy your alive.. I lived for a period of time where you
were dead and you came back.” Saber gently guided her face to look over at him.. “This is the
face I saw for the first time when I was younger.. My early days as a student and X-Man.. The
face of the British girl in the purple armor that I had a crush on.. This face brings back so
many memories..

OOC: I am still not set on how many characters I am bringing back, so I am leaving some details a bit vague at the moment. The Iron Man/Dr. Doom reference is true, though--details here.

"I've walked in more than one body in my time, Betsy, so nothing surprises me now," Kari said before she reached up and kissed Nathan in return. "None of this is really making sense yet, but there is nothing new about that either." Kari winced as her head continued to throb. She looked around at where they were and saw more of those damned cocoons. "Galen and Cass were with me. Our last battle was in the past...back to a time Tony Stark fought Victor Von Doom in Camelot. I know. It makes little sense. We had to fight in the shadows because, well, I was already there. There was some sort of psionic feedback, and that is the last I remember. I'm not sure what happened to my past self, but if I am still here, I am guessing she survived."
A voice kept ringing in the back of Kari's mind not to use the Askani Force, but she was not sure if the voice was true at this point. Luckily there was more in her arsenal than the double-headed eagle and raven. "A lot happened while we were gone, and not all of it good. I'll explain once we get everyone awake and out of here," Kari said as she looked at the red haired newcomer and nodded to her. "How did you find yourself in this place? Are you new to the team?"

“A lot did happen.” Cable said as he opened his thoughts of Jean’s sudden return from the dead to Cyclops death.
“A have been so lost.” He said with heavy emotion that his tough soldier persona that he held strongly had dropped.
The great love of his life.. The woman he loved and mourned has returned from the dead.. He also learned that he
and everyone that loved and cared for her had their memories of her loss constantly distorted by the Shadow King
and Cassandra Nova.. Years stolen from both of them. . There was anger and sadness in his tone that made Karenza
take a moment and wrap her arms around him and held him as he did her.. “I love you Kari more then anything and
I am sorry that I failed you and our kids.” His words weighed strongly with shame.

Rachel closed her eyes and felt a familiar mind awaken.. She spun around and looked at a cocoon that was
in a far corner.. She threw up her hands and the cocoon flew across the room and landed in front of her.. She
quickly ripped open the cocoon to see the bearded face of her nephew.. “GALEN!” She spouted out in excitement
as she wrapped her arms around him in a hug as he looked surprised.. “I thought that I lost you and Kari!!.. This
is a miracle!.. First my mother then the both of you!!..” Rachel was overcome by her emotions..

"Elda, I am very pleased to meet a child of the Phoenix and of Asgard. I just wish it had been under better circumstances. And Nathan, I love you," Kari said as she kept her husband held tightly to her, "No one here let us down, least of all you. My hunch may be wrong, but I am betting Cassandra Nova and the Shadow King were aided by others long before they made their presence known. That one trip to the future comes to mind. The Crone had all sorts of odd energy about her, and Cailleach was not past making alliances to rip us all to shreds. And don't forget Sinister. Don't blame yourself. They got in all our heads. Every single one of them."
The reversal of Scott and Jean's respective fortunes was not something Kari anticipated. Scott was often Nathan's greatest confidant, and his loss likely cut more deeply than Nathan was likely to admit to anyone save her. Jean being back brought a heart back to the X-Men they had been missing for some time, and she was glad to have her back.
Kari sighed as Rachel found Galen. "Thank the Goddess," she whispered before trying to find Cass among the other cocoons. "Cass might not want to wake up," the redhead said as she gripped Nathan's hand. "We found her daughter Giovanna during one of our fights. The one she had in the future with Antonio before that timeline seemingly blinked out. But now I'm afraid that was just gossamer to pull Cass into that damned mess."
"Rachel, thank the Bright Lady," Galen said as he looked at his aunt and smiled. "Is mother..."
"With your father," Kari said as one of the cocoons started to glow. "Cass is here, too."
{{Nathan, when we get out of here, we will fix all of it. If we have to pull in every psionic on the team, we will fix this. And I will have Cassandra Nova's head on a pike. This is too personal}}

Tears started to fall from Galen's eyes as he hugged his Aunt Rachel. "We can't have lost Giovanna," he whispered as he tried to pull his emotions back in. "I'm sorry, Rachel. Too much of what was and what is are colliding in my brain. I am overjoyed to be back with you all. I just wish we knew how much of what we experienced was shambolic and chaos-driven insanity and how much was actually for the good of the universe. So much time lost. So many people hurt."
Galen nodded to Elda and then turned to the cocoon that was glowing closer to his mother. "That has to be Cass. Too many of the others were lost in that last wave of fighting. Grandfather and Grandmother. Uncle Branan. Duncan and Colin."
"Galen," Kari said as she looked at her son, "none of that might have been real. We will have to take it all as it comes. I fear you are right about Branan because I can't feel him anymore, but I can still feel Ewan and Cormac. Dana and Hayley seem to be gone..."
"Like you said, we will figure it out," Galen replied as he tried to stand. "Is Blink still with the team? Is she well?" he asked Rachel.

as Elda was listening to the conversation another cocoon caught her attention as it seemed to be glowing. "Forgive the interruption but any idea who's in that one?" She said as suddenly the cocoon burst open and a somewhat tall red headed woman fell to the ground.
